In the face of overwhelming guilt, Jussie Smollett professed his innocence. Smollett stayed true to the Leftist mantra: lie no matter what.
Look at all the lies Leftists want Americans to believe. Like Biden won. My ass! That geriatric buffoon couldn’t win a legitimate election against Trump in 100 lifetimes. But the Left hold on to this like with a death grip.
And what of Jan 6? The “insurrection”. How are they spinning this FBI-created “breaching of the Capitol”? It’s Trump supporters who did it.
Does that sound familiar? Like when Jussie Smollett hired two friends to pretend to attack him, then blamed Trump supporters.
As sure as I know Trump lost in a coup, that global climate change is weather, and the Bidens have crooked ties to Russia, I know that Smollett faked this so-call hate crime. Further, Democrats bought into it, including Biden’s Sista Girl, Kamala Harris.
And while some in the LGBTQIA community called foul, I don’t see many people denouncing Smollett for his blatant and obvious lies.
A noose around the neck and BLEACH? Hopefully Smollett is a better actor than he is a writer/producer. Because that story was as flimsy as “hands up, don’t shoot!”
Still, Smollett tried his theatrics when he got sentenced to 150 days in jail and 30 months’ probation.
Always the actor. But what a plot, as Smollett valiantly fought off the two redneck Trump supporters with a Subway sandwich. Yes, Jussie Smollett even had “product placement” in his hate-crime scenario.
Perhaps Subway will give him a deal, now that the Empire empire has fallen?
Ironically, Smollett cratered not only his career in the show Empire, but ultimately the show itself.
“You’re just a charlatan pretending to be a victim of a hate crime,” Cook County Circuit Judge James Linn told Smollett while announcing the sentence in Chicago.
Linn excoriated Smollett further, noting that he fabricated the tale for the attention. Linn declared the false claim hurt genuine victims of hate crimes. Also, he added that Smollett tried to exploit the real past and current injustices in the U.S.
“You took some scabs off some healing wounds, and you ripped them apart for one reason: You wanted to make yourself more famous. And for a while, it worked. Everybody was talking about you.”
No surprise, Smollett’s attorneys said they would appeal. Because though Smollett knows he’s guilty in the little picture, he feels innocent in the big picture.
That’s how Leftism works. Smollett sees what he did as for “the greater good”. If the narrative is that Trump supporters are racist and homophobic, then his pretend crime is as valid as Elizabeth Warren’s Native American heritage. Like Warren, Smollett thinks that Trump supporters are racist homophobes. So why should it be a crime to frame them as such?
Judge Linn refused requests to stay the sentence, or put it on hold, while an appeal is pursued.
“I’m not staying this. This happens right here, right now,” Linn said.
As for Smollett’s declaration, “I am not suicidal. And I am innocent. I could have said that I was guilty a long time ago”, statement; just more theatrics. And a warning for the judge, as Smollett hinted that he might be killed. You know; because black men die in prison.
Delusions of grandeur, and one more opportunity to play for the camera. But it won’t be his last.
Expect Smollett to give an exclusive interview during his incarceration. He will want the world to know that he remains a victim. Don’t give up on him. Because he is appealing this farce.
For now, justice has been served for Jussie. I don’t think it’s harsh enough, particularly given how the Chicago DA treated Smollett. With kid gloves.
But at least it’s more than we’ve gotten with Hillary Clinton, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, Andrew McCabe, James Comey, or Hunter Biden, to name a handful of Leftist scumbags.
