A volunteer canvasing in Florida on behalf of Marco Rubio was just attacked with such severity it will take several reconstructive surgeries to set things right.
Unfortunately, this attack was 100% real- not some fantasy concocted by some third-rate actor looking for a pay raise. There were no bottles of bleach or unidentified rednecks involved. Instead, this was “tolerance” exposed. Four people actually beat the canvasser because he was in the wrong neighborhood.
Rubio tweeted: “Last night one of our canvassers wearing my T-shirt and a DeSantis hat was brutally attacked by 4 animals who told him Republicans weren’t allowed in their neighborhood in #Hialeah #Florida,” Rubio posted. “He suffered internal bleeding, a broken jaw & will need facial reconstructive surgery.”
Fox News adds:
According to a police report published by Local 10 News, one suspect in the attack was identified as Javier Lopez. The report said Lopez allegedly was blocking the sidewalk while the canvasser was trying to pass by. The canvasser then tried to walk toward the other side of the street to get around him when Lopez allegedly said, “You can’t pass by here, this is my neighborhood.”
After the victim said it was public property and he could be there, an argument ensued and Lopez allegedly rushed at him, grabbed him, and slammed him on the ground.
The police report did not make any mention of any other attackers, although it said a third party intervened at one point by kicking Lopez in the face before escaping. The report said Lopez then continued attacking the canvasser by punching him in the face repeatedly.
The canvasser suffered “severe swelling” on his face, with his right eye swelling shut and “severe swelling and bleeding” from being hit in the mouth.
“We’re going to allow detectives to conduct their own investigation and come down to the conclusion whether it was hate motivated or political motivated,” Hialeah Police Sgt. Jose Torres told WSVN.
Hialeah is a city in South Florida’s Miami-Dade County with a population of more than 236,000 people. Its mayor, Esteban Bovo, is a Republican.
Bovo told Fox News that he spoke to the canvasser’s father and that the canvasser’s condition is improving. The mayor also said the investigation was “looking at others that may have participated.”
As far as whether the attack was politically motivated, Bovo said he did want to jump to conclusions.
“But we do know the facts,” he added. “He was wearing a Rubio T-shirt, he had a DeSantis hat on, he was canvassing, and he was beaten and beaten severely.”
Remember When?
I can’t help but be reminded of the time Jussie Smollett, the third-rate Empire actor, staged an attack for attention. He pretended Trump supporters threw bleach on him, tied a noose around his neck, and yelled out “MAGA country!”.
The supposed attack was believed to be racially motivated. However, Kevin Jackson was among the first to call “bullshit” when news of the attack spread. Jackson didn’t buy it for a second, and it didn’t take long for the rest of us to see why.
Every aspect of Smollett’s story was fabricated, including the “threatening mail” Smollett allegedly received a few weeks prior to the ‘attack’. And instead of accepting responsibility, Smollett stuck to his story like a housefly on an adhesive stick. He still claims “it wasn’t me” when asked about his role in the fabrication that wasted tens of thousands of tax dollars.
In fact, Jackson calls Smollett’s actions the “template for lying leftists,” recently writing:
In the face of overwhelming guilt, Jussie Smollett professed his innocence. Smollett stayed true to the Leftist mantra: lie no matter what.
Look at all the lies Leftists want Americans to believe. Like Biden won. My ass! That geriatric buffoon couldn’t win a legitimate election against Trump in 100 lifetimes. But the Left hold on to this like with a death grip.
And what of Jan 6? The “insurrection”. How are they spinning this FBI-created “breaching of the Capitol”? It’s Trump supporters who did it.
Does that sound familiar? Like when Jussie Smollett hired two friends to pretend to attack him, then blamed Trump supporters.
As sure as I know Trump lost in a coup, that global climate change is weather, and the Bidens have crooked ties to Russia, I know that Smollett faked this so-call hate crime. Further, Democrats bought into it, including Biden’s Sista Girl, Kamala Harris.
And while some in the LGBTQIA community called foul, I don’t see many people denouncing Smollett for his blatant and obvious lies.
The actor was eventually sentenced to 150 days in jail and 30 months in jail, but he fully planned to appeal the decision because even with his “attackers'” confessions, Smollett clings to “it wasn’t me!”. That’s the lunacy of the left. Caught with their pants down, they’ll still pretend to be fully clothed.
Meanwhile, a violent attack was carried out by a leftist because they didn’t like someone’s politics. I like to call it Leftist Hypocrisy 101. This man was simply volunteering, as part of the great system of democracy we supposedly adhere to. Now, he will face months, possibly years, of reconstructive surgery for daring to walk around in a Rubio shirt with a DeSantis hat. How’s that for a noose around the neck?
