Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell tripped twice recently. The first time occurred when he tried to substantiate the lie of a January 6 insurrection.
Here is video of McConnell playing “cover my ass” when asked about the newly produced formerly hidden video evidence that proves Democrats created the January 6 “insurrection”.
Yes, McConnell is tripping if he believes he can continue to back Democrats on this lie. Almost all Americans–certainly the sane ones– know that Democrats hyped up the dirt they created.
Now the second trip.
Last night, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell was hospitalized after he fell at a DC hotel. According to reports, the 81-year-old McConnell was having dinner at the hotel when he stood up and took a tumble, according to his spokesperson.
“This evening, Leader McConnell tripped at a local hotel during a private dinner,” the rep said. “He has been admitted to the hospital where he is receiving treatment.”
Let’s hope the spokesperson just doesn’t know how to speak well, and thus McConnell didn’t trip while eating dinner. How exactly would that happen.
Regardless, I will say that many Americans rejoice at the notion that McConnell may need to call it quits. Again, Americans endure these politicians who refuse to relinquish power. McConnell wants to die in office.
It’s not like he’s doing Republicans any favors.
Although Democrats hate Trump supporters, McConnell hates them even more. The man continues to wage war with Trump in defiance of as much as 60 percent of Republicans. The fact that McConnell continues in his role in government belies the idea that he won’t leave until Trump is gone.
Look at his fellow RINO former Congressman Paul Ryan. He recently declared that if Republicans select Trump in 2024 he will switch parties. Laughingly, many Republicans responded, “What? Ryan will become a Republican?”
While I wish nobody ill health, part of me hopes that McConnell calls it quits.
His partner in crime, Joe Biden seems to fall routinely these days. Biden doesn’t seem to take the hint. Nevertheless, I guarantee you that the voting public will retire Biden, and it won’t be in the 2024 election. No, the Democrats will retire the man, unless God beats them to it.
When it comes to these well-worn politicians, I like to say, “It’s all God’s plan.”
