I said not long ago that the death knell for Biden will be when the second Democrat publicly denounces him. I said this, because I remembered the psychology of the second person.
In case you haven’t seen the video, a man sits at a park. He hears music, and gets up and begins dancing; terribly. At first people seem to snicker at the man. But then a second person gets up and joins the man in his whirling dervish. Soon, almost the entire crowd starts to dance.
Such is the case against Biden.
It was bad enough when Robert Kennedy, Jr announced his run against Biden; in effect Kennedy was the first to dance. But now Biden watches a second dancer.
Democratic Rep. Dean Phillips of Minnesota is leaving his position in House Democratic leadership over his party’s support of President Joe Biden’s 2024 reelection bid.
“My convictions relative to the 2024 presidential race are incongruent with the majority of my caucus, and I felt it appropriate to step aside from elected leadership,” Phillips said in a statement Sunday.
“I celebrate Leader (Hakeem) Jeffries for his remarkable and principled leadership, and extend gratitude to my outstanding friends and colleagues for having created space and place for my perspectives. I’ll continue to abide by my convictions, place people over politics, and support our shared mission to deliver security, opportunity, and prosperity for all Americans. Onward!”
The co-chair of the House Democratic Policy and Communications Committee tries to remain complimentary to Joe Biden. But listen closely to the scathing rebuke hidden in his “commendations”.
Phillips is considered a moderate Democrat. And he made his feelings know for months that he does not think Biden should run for reelection.
If you listen to about 4:37, you hear how Phillips really feels about Trump supporters. It’s actually very complimentary, though he doesn’t realize it.
As for Phillips, so believe he’s hinting at his own White House bid.
During an interview in August with Jake Tapper, Phillips suggested that there are “ample, well-prepared, competent people of great characters” who could challenge Biden in the Democratic primary.
Phillips is more than the canary in the coal mine on Biden’s demise. The old man declines both physically and mentally.
Soon his physical and mental demise will worsen, as his legal challenges mount. Stay tuned as Joe Biden’s problems worsen. So goes Biden, so go the Democrats.
