There’s a history and a Trojan horse behind Hamas’ October 7 invasion of Israel. See how this all fits together and find out what comes next.
Who’s Who and their Origins
Israel existed thousands of years before Islam.
Although the State of Israel was established on May 14, 1948, the country of Israel and the Israelites predate this by thousands of years. History marks the Assyrian king, Shalmaneser II, who was at war with the Israelites, as acknowledging Israel as a country and the Israelites as a country in 853 B.C.
Judaism, the Jewish religion, originated in approximately 1800 B.C. (before Christ). Christianity was established in 27 A.D.: six centuries before Islam
Originally, Chapter 15 in the Book of Genesis in the Bible gives Israel a territory of 370,000 acres, extending from the Egyptian border to parts of Lebanon and Syria. Now? Israel has but 8,100 acres. Yet Hamas wants to deprive the Jews of that tiny bit of land.
What is Gaza?
Gaza is often called “the Gaza Strip” because it’s a narrow parcel of land 25 miles long and 7 miles wide. It is one of the two parts comprising Palestine. About 2 million people live in this tiny area. It’s the third most densely populated area in the world.
Just about 99 percent of Gaza’s population is Muslim. Almost all the rest are Christian, mostly Arab Christian, a few other Christian sects.
What is Palestine?
Palestine is legally considered a sovereign state and is called The State of Palestine. It is considered to contain the country of Israel and the State of Palestine.
The Gaza Strip and the West Bank make up The State of Palestine. The West Bank contains East Jerusalem. East Jerusalem is part of the ancient city of Jerusalem. It contains religious shrines revered respectively by Christians, Jews, and Muslims alike.
East Jerusalem came under Israeli control after the Six-Day War of 1967. West Jerusalem had already been under Israeli control.
What is Israel?
Israel is neither a territory nor a sovereign state. It is a country. It has 9 million inhabitants—less than greater New York City. Three quarters are Israeli. Most of the rest are Muslim, plus there is a tiny Christian minority.
Israel is comprised of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. Israel and the PA (Palestinian Authority) jointly govern the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
The United Nations in 1947 issued a resolution which divided Palestine in two: a Jewish State and an Arab State. In 1948 Israel declared independence. That fomented the Israeli-Arab War in which five Arab states fought Israel. Israel won.
Twenty years later the Six-Day War broke out, which Israel also won. Israel captured and occupied the formerly Arab territories of the West Bank, East Jerusalem, the Gaza Strip, the Sinai Peninsula and the Golan Heights. The Sinai Peninsula is a sparsely populated desert area then owned by Egypt. The Golan Heights is a 40-mile-long, 212-square mile area which at the time belonged to southwest Syria.
Why Hamas Attacked Israel
Drawn up in 1997, the Hamas Charter clearly expresses that its mission is to obliterate Israel and the Jews from the face of the earth. They would then make the land a caliphate: a country under the command of a Muslim religious leader.
On January 25, 2006, in a landslide election victory, Hamas gained control of the government of Palestine. Hamas has been in charge ever since. No elections have been permitted since the takeover.
The Government vs. The People
However, the inhabitants of Palestine have coexisted in peace despite being a polyethnic society comprised of Israeli Jews, Sunni Muslims, Arab Jews, Arab Christians, Jewish Christians, and Christians.
In addition to the original Christians, the Roman Catholics, there are several Protestant Christian sects in the world, Among the Protestant sects are Baptists, Methodists, Presbyterians, Church of the Brethren, Lutherans, Episcopalians, etc.
Analogously, there are several in Islam. The seven sects of Islam are the Sunni, Shia (also called Shiites), Whabbi, Salagi, Berelvi, Suti, and Deobandi. But while Christian sects don’t kill each other, Muslim sects do.
Those who believe in Islam are called Muslims. The holy book of Islam is called the Qur’an, sometimes anglicized as Koran. The writings of the Qur’an can be called synonymously Islamic or Muslim scriptures.
The Sunnis are by far the most prevalent in the Muslim population of the world. Sunni Muslims number between 87-90 percent of those who practice Islam. Shias globally represent only between 10-13 percent of Muslims.
History of Oppression
Wars between different Muslim sects have occurred since the founding of Islam and continue through today. The most frequent violence is between the Sunnis and the Shias.
A contemporary example of Sunni oppression and murder of Shias is what Saddam Hussein did. A law school dropout, he was dictator of Iraq from 1979 until his capture in 2003. He and his two sons, Uday and Qusay, were infamous for torturing and killing their own countrymen.
Although in Iraq Shias represent the majority, they were nonetheless persecuted. After the Gulf War, Saddam in 1991 wiped out tens of thousands of Shias, demolished their religious shrines, and razed entire villages they inhabited.
In 2006 Iraqi authorities executed Saddam Hussein for crimes against humanity. He was hanged at an Iraqi Army base in Baghdad.
The Religious Composition of Hamas
The terrorist organization of Hamas is made up of Sunni Muslims. The Taliban terrorists, who wield the power today in Afghanistan, are likewise Sunnis.
How Could Hamas Vanquish Invincible Israel? Factor #1
Weaponry is one of the two factors making possible the attack on Israel October 07th.
The Taliban’s capture of power was made possible by Joseph Biden’s abrupt withdrawal of U.S. troops while leaving behind 20 billion dollars’ worth of U.S. armaments.
To give a perspective of what $20 billion means, it is the sum of several African nations’ GDPs (Gross Domestic Products) combined.
- Mozambique with a population of 33.9 million people has a GDP of $3.3 billion.
- Malawi stands at $6.9 billion with 21 billion population.
- The Central African Republic’s GDP is $2.2 billion and its people number
- 5.8 million. Somalia comes in at 18 million inhabitants and a GDP of $7.5 billion.
The total GDPs for the 79 million people residing in these 4 countries comes to $18.9 billion dollars… still short of the $20 billion that Biden squandered.
According to intelligence sources, much of that weaponry doubtless made its way to Hamas and was utilized in the October 07th attack.
Israel’s Trojan Horse: Factor #2
How Israel came to be vanquished, at least temporarily on October 7 of this year, was revealed by David Mark for Israel Unwired.
The security barrier of Gaza, viewed almost as impregnable as the Titanic, was breached Saturday morning by 200 Hamas fighters. Later that day 1,800 more broke through.
Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) discovered detailed maps and blueprints on the dead bodies of Hamas soldiers. These documents showed the specifications of the Gaza barrier and its vulnerabilities.
The attackers also knew that it was a holy day for Jews. Thus, the strictly religious were not allowed to carry cellular phones or view other telecommunications media including television or radio. Consequently, word to the populace of he attack was slow and limited.
How Did Hamas Come By Such Classified Information?
The Gaza Barrier has six meters (18 feet) of reinforced concrete above ground. There’s even more reinforced concrete below ground. The only construction workers who deal with poured concrete structures in all of Israel are Palestine Arabs and Gaza Arabs. The IDF has always hired these Arab Muslims to work on classified military bases.
Postscript
The tragedy of the atrocities committed this past weekend against innocent Israeli non-combatant civilians is compounded by a second tragedy. It is the heartbreak that the Jews and the Arabs are genetically related yet their hearts are not one.
