Top Democrat Prosecutor Guilty of Perjury

All one need do is wait, and Democrats will expose themselves as cretins and creeps. And this latest expose adds to the list of Leftist villains.

As CNN reports,

Marilyn Mosby, Baltimore’s former top prosecutor who was thrust into the national spotlight after charging six police officers in the 2015 death of Freddie Gray, was found guilty of two counts of perjury for making false statements on loan applications for two Florida vacation homes, the Justice Department said.

Holy Mother of Hunter, how many vacation homes? Does this chick thinks she’s a BIDEN?!

The article continues,

Mosby, 42, pleaded not guilty last year to two counts of perjury and two counts of making false statements after authorities said she applied for the loans to withdraw money from her retirement accounts, tapping a CARES Act provision intended for those hurt financially during the Covid-19 pandemic, prosecutors said.

Who did Mosby piss off? Most would not care that Mosby took money from her retirement account. After all, it’s her money. And yes, the government doesn’t want people tapping those accounts early; save for a rainy day.

But in the scheme of things, Mosby was making a real-estate “investment”. Further, the only real crime here is that Mosby would have needed to pay a penalty to access the money otherwise. And perhaps she would have declared the funds as additional income. Still, not enough to rise to the level it has risen.

Understand that I’m not condoning breaking the law. But again, Mosby took her own money, and at most didn’t pay a tax penalty or declare the additional income. When compared to HUNTER BIDEN, Mosby committed a  chili-pimp crime, and not worthy of all of that has befallen her.

Get Trump’s mug uniquely created on a mug!

My bet? Mosby really teed off some higher ups.

To make a mountain out of a mole hill on this petty crime, Mosby must have changed political parties. Or perhaps she accidentally told somebody that she supports Trump? Or did she fail to get her conviction.

Remember this attention-grabbing Leftists who sought to raise her status at the expense of the police?

Marilyn Mosby is the high-profile prosecutor who positioned herself as ethnocentric racist, willing to throw law-enforcement under the bus for her own political gain. In 2014 at the age of 34, she had become one of the nation’s youngest law enforcement chief officers.

The following year, Mosby rose to national prominence when she pursued criminal charges against six police officers in the death of Freddie Gray. Gray was killed while in police custody. And like most deaths where a black man dies at the hands of police, cities across America burned, including Baltimore.

In the end, none of the officers were convicted.

Fast-forward to now, and we learn that like others in Mosby’s position, she believes the ‘laws are for thee and not for me.’

That’s right, Kiddos. Mosby might have been seen as dropping the ball at a critical time. The Defund the Police effort was underway and Mosby screwed the pooch.

The article explains what else was heaped on Mosby:

Mosby is also charged with two counts of making false mortgage applications for the vacation homes in another federal case which will be tried separately. A date for that trial has not yet been set, federal prosecutors said.

In case you wonder why people don’t leave the Leftist plantation, I give you the answer.

Somebody who wanted to teach Mosby a lesson convened a federal grand jury on this case in January 2022. A grand jury paneled because Mosby lied on a loan application? Mosby indicated that she had “adverse financial consequences” due to the pandemic, a somewhat subjective subject.

At the time she earned a gross salary of $247,955.58. And her salary was “never reduced” in 2020, according to an indictment. In addition, Mosby failed to disclose she owed $45,000 in federal back taxes.

As they say in the informercials, “But wait!”

Mosby supposedly claimed that one of the homes would be her primary residence, thus securing a lower interest rate. But  she had already entered into an agreement with a rental management firm, according to the indictment. So in other words, you don’t rent out your primary residence.

Now the irony is Mosby profited from the money she borrowed from her 401k. The Baltimore Sun reported that Mosby sold one of the homes for a $150,000 profit.

Again, I’m not condoning what Mosby did. But I ask you if her actions warrant the energy expended by the Justice Department?

Is Mosby a villain for wanting to use her money to make more money? Who really gets hurt in this transaction, particularly when a fine could be levied on the tax issue?

At the time of the indictment, Mosby called the charges a “political ploy”. Then she declared that she was “unequivocally innocent.”

Innocent? Well, not exactly. However, not to go all “Hillary Clinton Defense” on the DOJ, but how do you know what Mosby’s intent was when she filled out the paperwork. Perhaps she could use the “Elizabeth Warren Defense”: she  “felt” that her income was impacted by covid?

Mosby’s lead attorney Jams Wyda argued that the case is “about a three-page form and what was in Marilyn Mosby’s mind when she filled it out,” CNN affiliate WBAL-TV reported. “The government spent time on things that don’t matter.”

Clearly, somebody wants to teach Mosby a lesson. And the person(s) behind this is reminding Democrats of the pecking order. Further, they are letting others know once on the Democrat plantation, you always have masters.

The former prosecutor face a maximum sentence of five years in prison for each of the two counts of perjury. A pretty stiff punishment for a person wanted to get into the Florida real-estate boom. I wonder if they would have come down on her, if she hadn’t bought in a red state?
