Get the scoop on the corrupt FBI agent who targeted Trump

I can hear former President Trump now. “Winning!” And he got a big win today.

As Collin Rugg reported on X:

JUST IN: Former FBI official Charles McGonigal, who helped investigate Trump for ‘colluding’ with Russia, has been sentenced to four years in prison for colluding with Russia.

Holy Mother of Hunter Biden, McGonigal accepted over $17,000 from Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska.

And what did McGonigal do for the money? He supplied inside information to that Russian bad man, Deripaska.

If you’re wondering about Oleg Deripaska, it might not surprise you to learn that he is a close associate of Joe Biden’s sworn “enemy”, Russian President Vladimir Putin.

It seems that Biden’s team loves hanging out with wealthy Russian oligarchs with ties to Putin. In the case of Deripaska, his net worth is believed to be around $3 billion.

U.S. Attorney Damian Williams commented,

“Charles McGonigal violated the trust his country placed in him by using his high-level position at the FBI to prepare for his future in business. Once he left public service, he jeopardized our national security by providing services to Oleg Deripaska, a Russian tycoon who acts as Vladimir Putin’s agent.”

Where would McGonigal have learned such wretched behavior?

Set up future business by using your high position in government, as say a Vice President. Then accuse another person of the very crime that you yourself are committing? And perhaps worst of all, working with America’s sworn enemy to wage a war that you started.

Ok in the case of McGonigal scratch that last part. But ultimately McGonigal could invoke either the Joe or Hunter Biden Defense. It’s affectionately deemed: “Get out of Jail with Privilege”.

A bit of history on McGonigal.

Newsweek reported on McGonigal’s tangled web in this article.

McGonigal, along with Sergey Shestakov, a former Soviet and Russian diplomat who later became a U.S. citizen and a Russian interpreter for courts and government offices, has also been charged with allegedly being paid by Deripaska to investigate a rival oligarch, and then attempting to conceal the payments.

Understand how McGonigal got his gig with Deripaska. Let’s call it, “the Hunter Biden Method”.

During McGonigal’s time in the FBI, he participated in investigations of Russian oligarchs. Do you find it ironic that McGonigal’s investigations initially included Deripaska. So he got flipped by the Russians. With bribes.

And to add insult to irony, McGonigal started the Trump-Russian-Collusion witch hunt. It was his information– actually misinformation–that helped trigger special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of then-candidate Trump.

While serving as chief of the cybercrimes section at the FBI headquarters in Washington, DC, McGonigal was among the first FBI officials to be made aware of allegations that George Papadopoulos. Recall back in 2016, the  campaign adviser for Trump boasted that he knew Russians had political dirt on Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton. Hardly a reason to launch an investigation into Trump or Papadopoulos. But that didn’t stop the anti-Trump FBI zealot for trying to exact a pound of Trump’s flesh.

The crooked G-man’s information led to the FBI launching “Crossfire Hurricane”. This was the code name given to the sham investigation whose purpose was to examine whether Trump officials had been coordinating “wittingly or unwittingly” with Russia’s supposed attempts to interfere in the 2016 presidential election.

Keep in mind, the FBI pretended this information and investigation were sacrosanct. Nothing had higher priority.

In September 2020, FBI Deputy Assistant Director Jonathan Moffa said, during Senate Judiciary Committee questioning, he received an email in July 2016 from McGonigal about Papadopoulos that “contained essentially that reporting, which then served as the basis for the opening of the case.” The following year, the FBI’s work was taken over by special counsel Robert Mueller, who expanded the probe into the Trump campaign’s ties with Russia amid the 2016 election.

The outcome of that investigation exonerated Trump. But what’s most striking is that the FBI uncovered nothing about the true origins of the Russia-collusion lie.

We now know that Hillary Clinton’s team started the lie of Russian collusion. Agents like McGonigal, McCabe, Strzok and many others actually help spread this misinformation, and yet McGonigal is the only one who has been sent to prison.

Why make Charles McGonigal the scapegoat, Christopher Wray?

The 22-year veteran of the FBI and former head of counterintelligence for the FBI’s New York field office was sentenced to over four years in prison for working for a sanctioned Russian oligarch after leaving the government. He pleaded guilty in August to one count of conspiracy to violate US sanctions and money laundering for working for Oleg Deripaska, the aforementioned wealthy Russian with close ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Judge Jennifer Rearden sentenced McGonigal to 50 months in prison. Rearden said that McGonigal “repeatedly flouted and manipulated the sanctions regimes vital” to US national security interests and “the undeniable seriousness of this and the need to respect the law … compels a meaningful custodial sentence.”

But one has to love how Leftists placate a serious infraction when protecting each other. Rearden added that McGonigals actions “do not all together stamp out” his distinguished career and the “profoundly important contributions” he made to the US.

Really? Is that going to be what gets said about the Bidens when the Left is finally forced to come clean on them?

The Bill Clinton Blue Dress moment for McGonigal

I can only imagine the moment when McGonigal knew he was burnt toast. Because most Leftists believe they are above the law. At what point did McGonigal say to himself, “They got me!”

It has been reported that before the sentencing was handed down, McGonigal told the judge he has a “deep sense of remorse and sorrow for my actions.”

Fighting back tears, McGonigal said to Judge Reardon,

“I, more than anyone, know that I have committed a felony and as a former FBI special agent it causes me extreme mental, emotional and physical pain – not to mention the shame I feel in embarrassing myself and the FBI, the organization I love and respect. I’m humbly asking for a second chance.”

Foreboding for the Bidens

Was this Chris Wray’s warning shot across the bow of the Bidens’. I’m sure many in DC are thinking this. A warning sign to Joe Biden to step down before the situation gets ugly.

After all, the discussion centers around McGonigal’s work for Deripaska putting U.S. national security at risk. Apparently McGonigal performed with Bidenesque precision when it caeme to positing that if a foreign government had to choose between military supplies or having the former FBI counterintelligence chief “on their payroll,” it is an easy decision.

“How much would that be worth to them? Our enemies have guns and they know where to buy more. What they do not have is the rule of law. We do. That is what McGonigal tried to sell,” argued Hagan Scotten, a prosecutor. “Poverty did not motivate this crime, your honor. Greed did. It was a betrayal.”

If this is what one FBI agent did, imagine what a family led by a powerful politician can accomplish in selling out America.
