Former Assistant U.S. Attorney Lesley Wolf technically worked for the Biden Crime Family. And her salary was paid by the American taxpayers.
Wolf was part of the team supposedly investigating Hunter Biden. Because of her intimate knowledge into this situation involving the Bidens, Congress subpoenaed Wolf. Media reports claim that Wolf defended her work on behalf of the Bidens, in her closed-door deposition with congressional investigators. Claims by IRS whistleblowers refute those of Wolf, as they allege that Wolf slow-walked parts of the investigation.
Her remarks are now a matter of public record, and he said the following:
“At all times while serving as an AUSA, I acted consistently with the Justice Manual, DOJ policy directives, and my statutory/legal and ethical obligations,” Wolf said in her prepared remarks. “I followed the facts where they led, and made decisions in the best interests of the investigation. This includes, but is by no means limited to, policies and rules governing politically sensitive investigations, election year sensitivities, attorney search warrants, search warrant filter requirements, and professional conduct rules barring contact with represented parties.”
For a while people wondered what happened to Wolf.
“A federal prosecutor who allegedly interfered in the criminal investigation of Hunter Biden to protect both President Biden and his son recently left the Justice Department,” according to a report from the New York Post. “Former Delaware assistant US attorney Lesley Wolf’s quiet departure emerged as she appeared for a deposition with the House Judiciary Committee on Thursday morning — following the Wednesday night House vote to formally authorize the impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden over his role in his son and brother’s foreign business dealings.”
The report continues:
Wolf’s starring role in the alleged Justice Department coverup of the criminal investigation of alleged tax fraud and foreign-lobbying violations is a significant part of the impeachment inquiry — with whistleblowers saying that she discouraged asking witnesses questions “about the big guy” or “dad,” referring to Joe Biden, claiming there was “no specific criminality to that line of questioning.”
Two IRS agents who worked on the criminal investigation, Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler, alleged in prior testimony to House committees that Wolf tipped off Hunter Biden’s lawyers to investigative steps and forbade inquiries into Joe Biden, even when communications mentioned him.
Wolf allegedly instructed FBI agents in August 2020 to remove references to Joe Biden from a search warrant affidavit, writing, “someone needs to redraft [the affidavit]… There should be nothing about Political Figure 1 in here,” according to an email released by the Ways & Means Committee.
When did Wolf decide to leave in her post? Here is what she said.
“My desire to serve my community and my country, such a great source of pride, has recently come at significant cost. As a private person, the once routine and mundane details of my life have become the subject of public interest in an invasive and disturbing manner. Far worse, I have been threatened and harassed, causing me to fear for my own and my family’s safety.”
She attempted to defend her deplorable actions. NBC reported on her prepared remarks:
“At all times while serving as an AUSA, I acted consistently with the Justice Manual, DOJ policy directives, and my statutory/legal and ethical obligations. I followed the facts where they led, and made decisions in the best interests of the investigation. This includes, but is by no means limited to, policies and rules governing politically sensitive investigations, election year sensitivities, attorney search warrants, search warrant filter requirements, and professional conduct rules barring contact with represented parties.”
With all the evidence against her, Wolf still expressed an “overwhelming feeling of frustration and disappointment” at not being able to discuss specific decisions and actions made during the investigation. Wolf did what almost all Leftists do when confronted with the truth.
She even claims that she decided to leave her 16-year career prior to these allegations. She even claims that she stayed on longer due to threats against her. The only threat against her is the one she put on her own career. Now she’s caught and looking for a lifeline.
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, who attended part of the deposition, said Wolf refused to answer most of the committee’s questions and that they may need to speak to her again during their investigation.
The Evidence
It doesn’t get more damning than the evidence that shows clearly how Wolf obstructed a real investigation into the Biden family. Newsmax documents her actions in this article.
Back in September, the House Ways and Means Committee revealed a document that showed Lesley Wolf blocked investigators from pursuing evidence relating to President Joe Biden as part of an investigation into violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA).
(…)
A document revealed by the committee included an August 2020 email from Wolf in which she ordered investigators to remove any reference to “Political Figure 1” from a search warrant. Subsequent documents released Wednesday showed that Joe Biden was “Political Figure 1.”
“As a priority, someone needs to redraft attachment B,” Wolf wrote. “I am not sure what this is cut and pasted from but other than the attribution, locations, and identity stuff at the end, none of it is appropriate and within the scope of this warrant. Please focus on FARA evidence only. There should be nothing about Political Figure 1 in here.“
Another document includes a May 2021 report from investigators that shows they were not allowed to follow investigative leads on potential campaign finance violations related to a wealthy Hollywood lawyer, Kevin Morris, who was enlisted to help the Biden family and who paid millions of dollars to help Hunter Biden around the time that his father became president.
Investigators wrote that “there may be campaign finance criminal violations. AUSA Wolf stated on the last prosecution team meeting that she did not want any of the agents to look into the allegation. She cited a need to focus on the 2014 tax year, that we cannot yet prove the allegation beyond a reasonable doubt and that she does not want to include their Public Integrity unit because they would take authority away from her. We do not agree with her obstruction on this matter. The assigned AUSA does not like dissenting opinions.”
The Federalist adds to the clear obstruction by Wolf,
Grassley then highlighted the numerous ways Wolf appeared to have obstructed the investigation into Hunter Biden’s potentially criminal business activities. “IRS whistleblowers have affirmed that AUSA Wolf prevented investigators from seeking information about Joe Biden’s involvement in Hunter Biden’s criminal business arrangements,” Grassley said, adding that she also “frustrated investigative efforts” by the IRS agents to question Hunter Biden’s business partner, Rob Walker, about Joe Biden.
Wolf also refused to allow agents to search Joe Biden’s guest house, even though there was “more than enough probable cause,” and she prevented investigators from searching a storage unit used by the now-president’s son, the letter said. In fact, Grassley stressed, Wolf alerted Hunter Biden’s lawyers to the investigators’ interest in the storage unit.
Wolf clearly acted as “wolf in sheep’s clothing”. She ran interference for the Bidens.
The article continued,
Given what Grassley called Wolf’s “questionable and obstructive conduct,” he asked Weiss whether Wolf had taken “similar proactive measures to frustrate any investigation into the FD-1023.” Grassley also probed Weiss’s knowledge of the accusations leveled against Wolf and how he has handled them. From Grassley’s questions, he seems to believe Wolf knows whether the DOJ buried evidence that Joe and Hunter Biden received bribes from the Ukrainian oil and gas company Burisma.
Former Attorney General William Barr had previously confirmed that the FD-1023 summary of the CHS’s intel had been sent to the Delaware U.S. attorney’s office for further investigation, following then-Pittsburgh U.S. Attorney Scott Brady’s conclusion that the reporting was not Russian disinformation. Barr later also said the Delaware office had been briefed on the FD-1023 material. Until now, however, it was unclear who had received that information.
So Wolf and FBI special agents from the Baltimore field office received a briefing on the contents of the FD-1023. Because of this, Congress can probe precisely who investigated the CHS’s allegations and how. If Wolf didn’t investigate it, then why?
What they will likely find is that Wolf directed agents to disregard the FD-1023. Then the next questions are who else was involved and who else knew?
Next, Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler testified that Wolf blocked them from pursuing lines of questioning related to Joe Biden. She said investigators would be in “hot water” if they tried to interview Biden’s grandchildren. They also testified that she and another DOJ attorney informed Hunter Biden’s defense counsel about a storage unit the investigators were monitoring, among other things.
It’s seem pretty clear by now that Wolf was very likely part of Team Biden.
