A White House of Contradictions: Biden Doesn’t Back Up His Tough Talk

Joe Biden has never shied away from bold, and yes hyperbolic rhetoric about Donald Trump. From branding him a threat to democracy to implying he’s the embodiment of fascism, Biden has spent years demonizing his predecessor. But with Trump’s return to power, the tables have turned, and the drama unfolding in Washington is nothing short of Shakespearean irony.

Biden’s Fighting Words: All Bark, No Bite

Biden’s campaign trail was filled with colorful language aimed at Trump. Who could forget when he declared, “If we were in high school, I’d take him behind the gym and beat the hell out of him”? Or when he referred to Trump as “a clown,” “a liar,” and “the worst president in American history” during debates and interviews? Biden often painted himself as a tough-talking, working-class hero ready to stand up to the “bully” of the GOP. Yet, his public demeanor around Trump has been noticeably subdued, and undoubtedly deferential.

When Biden met with Trump post-election, there were no verbal jabs, no grandstanding. In front of President-elect Trump stood a man acutely aware of his own political mortality; and a man who hoped that day would never come.

The bravado of the campaign trail vanished, replaced by an awkward handshake and an unexpected smile. Some speculate that along with Biden’s smile was because he secretly wanted Trump to defeat his former protege, Harris. Did Biden want Hitler to win?

Hitler in the White House

Of course, it’s impossible to ignore the relentless comparisons between Trump and Hitler perpetuated by Democrats and the media. It became a cornerstone of their narrative, intended to strike fear into voters. But here we are, in 2024, with Biden hosting the very man his party likened to one of history’s greatest villains.

What’s more laughable is the implied hypocrisy. The same administration that spent years decrying Trump as a dictator now has no problem cozying up to him when political survival demands it. It’s a move so transparently desperate that even loyal Democratic voters are raising eyebrows.

A Family Affair: The Biden Fallout

The fallout isn’t just political—it’s personal. The Biden family, now under scrutiny for Hunter’s overseas business dealings and a web of alleged corruption, faces an uncertain future. With Trump in office, the prospect of accountability looms large. For years, Democrats weaponized the legal system against Trump with impeachments and investigations. Now, Biden and his clan might find themselves on the receiving end of justice.

Imagine Trump appointing a special prosecutor to investigate Hunter Biden’s laptop, or the shady dealings linked to the “Big Guy.” For a president who thrives on spectacle, holding Biden accountable would be the ultimate act of poetic justice.

Trump the Showman

Trump, ever the media maestro, knows how to turn even the smallest slight into a grand narrative. With Biden’s team practically handing him material, the opportunities for Trump to spin the optics are endless.

Trump could have upstaged Biden and perhaps announced Phase II of the First Step Act–releasing non-violent prisoners, many of whom are minorities. It’s the kind of act that contrasts sharply with the Democrats’ rhetoric about Trump, especially given Biden’s history of supporting tough-on-crime policies that disproportionately affected Black communities.

Or perhaps Trump takes it a step further, launching a campaign to rebuild inner-city communities devastated by Biden’s economic policies. Imagine him funding scholarships for single mothers or creating grants for minority entrepreneurs. It’s the kind of bold, headline-grabbing move that would leave Democrats scrambling to reclaim the narrative.

Biden’s Legacy: A Rocky Road Ahead

As Biden prepares for life after the presidency, the shadows of his administration’s failures loom large. Inflation, border crises, and foreign policy blunders will be the hallmarks of his tenure, providing ample fodder for Trump’s second term.

Even more daunting is the prospect of legal repercussions. If the GOP holds Biden accountable for alleged corruption, his post-presidency could look more like a courtroom drama than a retirement celebration.

Conservatives: It’s Time to Celebrate

For conservatives, this moment is a long-awaited victory. But the question remains: will they embrace it? Historically, Republicans have been cautious, almost apologetic, in their victories. Yet, this is no time for restraint. The Democrats pulled out all the stops to destroy Trump, using every tool in their arsenal. Now, with Trump back in charge, it’s time for conservatives to unapologetically celebrate their triumph.

The irony of Biden hosting Trump at the White House is just the beginning of the karmic justice headed the Democrats’ way. The real show starts now, and it promises to be one for the ages.
