Democrats are understandably jittery about the incoming Trump administration, version 2.0. They should be, considering the relentless efforts they poured into stopping him from getting here.
The legal onslaught against Trump and nearly anyone who stood near him has not just failed—it has imploded spectacularly. As of now, every case against President-elect Trump is unraveling faster than a dollar-store sweater. Oh, the irony! If Trump had walked away from politics, these lawsuits likely would have quietly evaporated.
But Trump persevered leaving Democrats scrambling to minimize the radioactive fallout from this failure of nuclear proportions. Their damage control strategy? Let Trump off on technicalities, in hopes of being able to claim a moral victory. A bit of red meat for the Democrat faithful who never want to believe that Trump was innocent in the first place.
I guess the two assassination attempts was music enough to soothe the savage Leftist beasts. Regardless, the nuclear bomb detonated, and the fallout is upon the Democrats.
DOJ’s Panic Mode
In preparation for the shock wave coming in January, Jack Smith, the special counsel who spearheaded Trump’s legal harassment, has closed up shop and quietly slipped into the shadows. Rumor has it Smith’s already filing his retirement papers, knowing he’s first on the chopping block when Trump takes office. Other DOJ officials? They’re lawyering up like it’s Black Friday at a legal clinic.
MSN reports:
“Multiple current and former senior Justice Department and FBI officials have begun reaching out to lawyers in anticipation of being criminally investigated by the Trump administration, according to three people with knowledge of their deliberations.”
The unnamed sources paint a vivid picture of panic, yet conveniently offer no hard evidence to support these claims. Why lawyer up if there’s nothing to hide? Perhaps the DOJ remembers what happened to General Michael Flynn when he casually chatted with the FBI sans legal representation. Spoiler alert: it didn’t end well for him.
The White House Under New Management
Every incoming administration reshuffles staff, but Biden’s regime was a dumpster fire of epic proportions. Incompetence cascaded like Victoria Falls from the top down. Even Democrats tacitly acknowledged this, publicly admitting their leader was a “placeholder president,” with less cell activity than an amoeba. And his VP was no better.
Biden’s administration was a showcase for Affirmative Action appointees and diversity hires who likely wouldn’t make it past the receptionist in any legitimate company. To clean house properly, Trump will need to purge the entirety of Biden’s legacy. And in doing so, the Left is poised to label every move Trump makes as “vengeance.”
“Vengeance” as a Strategy
Trump’s decisive victory over Kamala Harris and the ideology of Leftism delivered him a clear mandate. Yet Democrats are already spinning his staffing decisions as retribution. The media’s favorite narrative? Trump wants “loyalists.”
Well, why wouldn’t he? Who in their right mind would fill their administration with people eager to undermine them? Biden filled his staff with loyalists to his agenda, to disastrous effect. Trump’s picks will, understandably, aim to reverse those errors.
NBC reports that a Republican senator has blocked the promotion of a general tied to the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal. Predictably, the Left frames this as “Trump’s vengeance.” But is it really vengeance to deny a promotion to someone who oversaw one of the worst military debacles in modern history?
The New Buzzword
Democrats are already rehearsing their talking points. “Vengeance” will be their rallying cry against every policy initiative or investigation Trump undertakes. It’s their new “racism”—a label slapped on anything and everything they oppose.
Will it work? Highly unlikely. None of their previous strategies succeeded. Why should this one be any different?
Trump isn’t out for petty revenge. His administration’s goal will be to repair the extensive damage inflicted by the last four years. If Democrats insist on calling that vengeance, it speaks more to their guilt than to Trump’s intentions.
