Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood “Obamacare by Morning”

The CMA Awards, hosted for the last few years by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, are 3 hours of country music and typically pro-America humor.

The CMA’s fly in the face of all the other award shows that jostle for first place on the ladder of offensiveness and shock value. Country musics, by tradition, tends to embody everything the Lefty Elitists find contemptible: America, faith, life and (traditional) family.

Last night Brad and Carrie started the evening on a great note early on with this spoof on the George Strait classic, Amarillo by Morning…”Obamacare by Morning.

“This can’t be too hard, right?”  “Why’s it spinning?”  “Oh it does that.”  “Why’s it smoking?”  “Uh…I don’t…maybe…maybe we should restart it?”

Obamacare by morning, why’s this taking so long?

I’m gonna wind up with hemorrhoids, if I sit here ’till dawn…

We’ll have cataracts and dementia, oh this is getting on my last nerve…

Obamacare by morning, over 6 people served.

Soon after there was a spoofy song which brought out surprise award presenters, Willie and Korie Robertson and Jase and Missy Robertson, of Duck Dynasty.

So the CMA’s, within 15 minutes, messaged to all of America that the show was unabashedly produced for all of those flyover states and people. Those hard-working families that make this country great, and yet are oft times the object of Progressive derision.

Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood did good. George Strait, whose song they spoofed AND who won Entertainer of the Year, laughed throughout the Obamacare smackdown.

And country music lovers knew they could settle in for 3 hours that would not insult them and their values. Music was intended to touch hearts and uplift spirits, and Wednesday night the 47th CMA Awards were unafraid to do just that!
