The American Federation of Teachers Union (AFT) had a Racial Equity Task Force gathering in St. Louis, Missouri this past August. In this “caucus,” they decided: “to shift schools away from suspensions for unruly or dangerous students and instead use ‘restorative justice’ and other means to keep them in schools despite their bad behavior.” They believed this idea would save black male students from themselves.
What is Restorative Justice, you ask? “Restorative justice is a theory that emphasizes repairing the harm caused or revealed by criminal behavior. It is best accomplished through cooperative processes that include all stakeholders.” What this means: you waste school time to require the student with the bad behavior to have another opportunity to encounter the victim(s). Keep in mind this all is a theory, which means to the liberal it is scientific fact.
The best part of this assembly–if there is one–was the AFT enlightening the world that alleged White Privilege is to blame for failing Black and Hispanic students. AFT President Randi Weingarten said, “Those of us that are White, we have to internalize and understand our own racism.” In other words, White folk are naturally racists, own up to it, and let minorities do whatever they want, because we owe it to them.
Even better, the AFT conducts “racial-sensitivity training of teachers as part of professional teacher training workshops, reprogramming them to think that THEY are the problem, not the misbehaving kids, that their ‘Whiteness’ and ‘cultural insensitivity’ are the reasons African-American students tend to be, on average, more disruptive and violent than other students and tend to underperform academically.”
And I thought the National Education Association (NEA) was anti-American. These guys take the cake; however, it is not a surprise. As I disclosed in my book “Public Schools – The Worst Case of Child Abuse in American History,” we were told: “If a student hits you, spits on you or slaps you it is your fault.” Yes, this was told to over 1,100 teachers in a Las Vegas teacher conference by Dr. Hartwig.
This all goes back to personal responsibility. The liberals do not want it; instead, they would much rather have all minorities be indebted to them. Then they will all vote for them, do what is asked of them and eventually, when the minorities and gullible, foolish, guilt-ridden White people are the majority, America will no longer be America. Liberals will be in charge and socialism will have prevailed.
I implore you all to see that this is the desire for the liberals, to use the public education system to teach everything except the basics. They want to excuse bad behavior and allow disruptions to the point the schools will only teach social issues. Subjects such as reading, writing, math, science, geography, and history will not even be secondary subjects.
White people are becoming the problem; however, it is only those Caucasians who continue to be programmed into believing they are racist when they are not. As long as we continue to allow racism to be an excuse, minorities will never succeed. Most individuals, when you give them a reason to fail, will do so. On the contrary, when you give them resources and no excuses, most individuals will succeed.
Remember, if they can re-educate teachers, how tough will it be for teachers to re-educate their students?
