Speaking of black men and women who voted for Donald Trump, Maxine Waters once said “I will never ever forgive them for undermining the possibility to help their own people and their own communities. It is absolutely unconscionable.”
But like Joe Biden, Waters has a unique way of helping people. She uses her status as a member of congress to benefit her family.
Waters is helping those who keep her close.

California Democrat, Rep. Maxine Waters has cashed in more than $1 million for her daughter through her campaigns since 2003, according to federal election data.
Karen Waters received over $1.1 million for her services with her mother’s campaigns — $250,000 of which came from the most recent election cycle, reported the Federal Election Commission.
Daughter of the California Democrat organized slate-mailing operations to bolster her mother’s re-election.
Slate-mailing is an uncommon practice in federal elections, where a consulting firm is hired to create a pamphlet of sorts that contains a list of candidates or policy measures, and advises voters how to cast their ballots.
Congresswoman Waters was reportedly the only federal politician to use a slate-mailer operation during the 2020 general election.
Though the practice is not all together that uncommon in the state of California, who has seen politicians like Gov. Gavin Newsom use the campaigning method. Vice President Kamala Harris also used slate-mailers during her 2017 Senate campaign.
But Water’s daughter isn’t the only family member who has profited from her time in congressional campaigns.
A 2004 report by the Los Angeles Times found that various members of Waters’ family had received over $1 million during the previous eight years, from businesses and campaigns relating to the congresswoman.
“They do their business and I do mine,” Waters said during the time. “We are not bad people.”

Just consider this snippet from 2018
In May 2017, Waters sent a letter to Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin asking him for information on Trump’s financial ties with Russia. She has written multiple letters to Deutsche Bank asking about its Trump ties and in August 2017 asked House Financial Services Committee Chairman Jeb Hensarling (R-TX) to subpoena them. She and other committee Democrats also introduced a resolution of inquiry to “follow the Trump money trail” last year.

Turns out, Waters was crooked all along. (File this under “tell me something I didn’t know.”)
Follow the Money
Waters is renowned for encouraging the government to follow Trump’s money trail. But, as we’ve seen over and over again, Democrats accuse Republicans of the very crimes they commit.
It’s much like the time Biden called out Donald Trump for his efforts in the Ukraine. Maybe a bit more satisfying. Because nothing is nearly as much fun as watching a liberal squirm when they’re caught in the act.

Waters made over 30 payments to her daughter during the 2020 campaign cycle, the funds largely going to Slate Mailer Management Fees. Though canvassing and office expenses were also listed in the FEC records.
There were another two payments directed at Karen Walker for “GOTV” services. Though details of what was involved in the operation are not listed, it is possible “GOTV” could stand for “Get out the vote.”
There are over 160 payments funneled towards Karen Walker from the California congresswoman since 2003, that the FEC has recorded.
Of course, anyone with a lick of sense understands that for every dollar the FEC recorded, there are likely 50 floating around “under the table.” Admittedly, we can’t prove that. But common sense connects the dots.
I’m just wondering how Waters sleeps with herself at night. She repeatedly and publicly condemned the greatest president in modern history. Waters accused Trump of an array of iniquities. All while, Mommy Dearest helped her little darlings cash out with at least a cool million dollars.
I just have one burning question. How the hell did this evil spinster win re-election? Because California screwed the pooch on that one.
