Leave it to Hollyweird to push its way into the news cycle. This story involves George Clooney.
As it turns out, Clooney needs to promote his new movie. And while he has been in showbiz for over 4 decades, he’s no longer the center of attention. Thus, the 60-year-old actor did what Hollyweirdos do when they need attention. He revealed something shocking.
The news that Clooney dropped explains how rich and “woke” he is. Clooney declared that he once refused $35 million for just one day of work on an airline ad.
What?! Who in their right mind turns down $35 million to shoot an ad? A woke super wealthy Hollyweird former “heartthrob”, that’s who.
The Guardian asked Clooney about his upcoming film and whether he thinks he has “enough money now.”
“Well, yeah. I was offered $35 million for one day’s work for an airline commercial, but I talked to [my wife] about it and we decided it’s not worth it,” said Clooney.
Clooney wants the world to know that he is no sellout. It will take more than $35 million to get him to be a spokesperson. Why because he’s SO RICH!
The reason he gave for turning down the booty will astound you.
Clooney explained that the airline is associated with:
“a country that, although it’s an ally, is questionable at times, and so I thought: ‘Well, if it takes a minute’s sleep away from me, it’s not worth it.’”
That’s an expensive minute of sleep! Still, please allow me to put Clooney’s statement in perspective.
Clooney doesn’t want to do work for an AIRLINE that is associated with a country that is an ally, but is questionable at times. So the AIRLINE does nothing wrong, but the country does. Thus the AIRLINE can’t have him.
Thus, if American Airlines asked him to be a spokesperson and earn $35 million in a day, Clooney obviously would turn it down. After all, America to him is “questionable at times”, right?
OR maybe this offer never happened? And maybe George Clooney created this outrageous Brian-Williams-meets-Joe-Biden-meets-Jussie-Smollett story to promote his new movie?
I know that I won’t represent something I don’t believe in. But if Al Salam Allekum Airlines gave me $35 million to say, “When you fly the Middle East, choose Al Salam Allekum for your travel!”, I’d take the gig.
In full disclosure, I’d also try to get a gig with the travel life insurance company to hedge my bets.
Clooney’s not fooling me. I’m confident this didn’t happen.
He gives only small details so we can’t know for sure who the airline or the country is. Further, he knows that no Leftists will dare fact-check him. However, if Clooney were a Trump, investigative reporters would reveal the story to be the lie that it is.
Frankly, I watch nothing “woke” Hollywood produces anymore. And antics like Clooney’s are the reason why I abandoned Tinseltown.
I suggest you check out The Flick Fest for an alternative to the pretentious Hollyweirdos and start supporting the little guy.
