An interesting headline came across my cluttered desk this morning.
I was sorting a pile of unopened mail and browsing the latest Woke stories when I saw this:
Cotton, Banks spearhead bill allowing adults to sue doctors who transitioned them as minors.
Honestly, I’m not surprised. Disgusted? Of course, but shocked, not at all. Especially in a world where leftist reigns supreme.
When I first started writing for Kevin Jackson and The Black Sphere, I stumbled across an article that took a consensus from pediatricians. They agreed that transgender was a form of body dysmorphia. Further, they insisted this mental illness required treatment.
That’s right folks, these kids require therapy!! Not some instant remove your “manhood” or “womanhood” procedure. Imagine the trauma of turning 25 and realizing you can’t “love the skin you’re in” because you removed a chunk of it.
How far will this go?
When I read that transgenders could potentially sue their doctors, I couldn’t help but wonder if these kids have the grit to also sue their parents. They certainly should have the option. It took parents to seek this kind of healthcare. It took parents to consent to such a procedure. And it took parents to transport these kids to and from the appointments in order to get the surgy. Thus, parents are complicit, if not ultimately responsible.
Think about it like this:
A surgeon holds a tool and completes a task. A mother and father are supposed to hold a child and shape their being.
Did these parents even ask about the higher rates of suicide? How they will handle the public ridicule, mockery, and downright disrespect they will get just walking down the street? What happens when these kids grow up and realize that their parents were “woke” idiots?
WOKEism will destroy these families. All because leftists wanted to play God.
I can promise you this- changing your child’s gender based on some political agenda is destined to backfire.
Fox News spoke to the Senators proposing the bill mentioned above:
To define a “gender-transition procedure,” the bill draws on definitions laid out in a March fact sheet from the Department of Health and Human Services, which claimed gender-affirming care includes social affirmation at any age, puberty blockers during puberty and cross-sex hormone therapy starting during early adolescence. Irreversible surgery to both breasts or genitalia is “typically used in adulthood or case-by-case basis in adolescence,” according to the agency.
The bill also specifically defines biological sex as “the genetic classification of an individual as male or female, as reflected in the organization of the body of such individual for a reproductive role or capacity, such as through sex chromosomes, naturally occurring sex hormones, and internal and external genitalia present at birth, without regard to the subjective sense of identity of the individual.”
The bill makes an exception for medical procedures related to chromosome abnormalities.
Cotton told Fox News Digital in a statement that gender transition procedures “aren’t safe or appropriate for children.”
“Unfortunately, radical doctors in the United States perform dangerous, experimental, and even sterilizing gender-transition procedures on young kids, who cannot even provide informed consent,” Cotton continued.
“Our bill allows children who grow up to regret these procedures to sue for damages. Any doctor who performs these irresponsible procedures on kids should pay.”
Banks, who serves as chairman of the Republican Study Committee, told Fox News Digital that the official guidance from the Biden administration recommends “irreversible and life-altering surgery for minors too young to apply for a learner’s permit.”
“These procedures lack any solid evidence and have been rejected by public health agencies around the world. Ten years from now, there will be hundreds of thousands of Americans who were permanently scarred by the radical Left’s agenda before they reached adulthood.”
“If Democrats truly supported gender-confused children, they’d support our effort to give them legal recourse,” he added. Rep. Doug LaMalfa, R-Calif., is helping Banks spearhead the bill in the House of Representatives.
Gender affirming care:
Biden already has “gender-affirming care” guidelines for minors. And both Cotton and Banks are the latest lawmakers to jump into the ring. It’s definitely a three-ring circus considering the lengths Biden will go to for transgenders. I can’t explain Biden’s fixation, but I do know that it’s pretty bizarre.
Cotton and Banks are the latest lawmakers to weigh in on the national debate over what the Biden administration has described as “gender-affirming care” for minors.
Assistant Secretary for Health Rachel Levine, the highest-ranking transgender person in the U.S. government, stoked controversy earlier this year for claiming during an interview on NPR that “there is no argument” about gender-affirming care among medical professionals who specialize in children and adolescents.
Citing peer-reviewed studies as well as a “lack of conclusive evidence, and the potential for long-term, irreversible effects,” the Florida Department of Health took issue with Levine’s blanket claim by releasing its own fact sheet advising against the HHS’s list of treatment options for children and adolescents experiencing gender dysphoria.
Alabama began enforcing a ban on gender transition surgery and hormone blockers for minors in early May. The Arkansas Legislature passed a similar law banning doctors from prescribing the drugs in March, but courts said it was overly broad and the state’s Republican governor, Asa Hutchinson, vetoed it in early April.
Trans people got what they asked for, didn’t they?
Of course they did. Each person who is transgender has gone through 100s of questions about why they wanted to transition. My problem is that children’s brains develop well into their 20s. At which they could be left to their own devices if they choose such an operation. But to make this choice for children is downright delusional. We can’t go around pasting some boy parts on every Tom-boy in town. That’s just plain unethical. But leftists would take that sporty style and work to convince their prey that’s she’s all alone. And she needs to join their cult for place to fit it.
If you live under the conclusion that transgenders are much more confident in who they’re meat to be, thus never regret their choices, think again. A friend of my daughters came out of the closet back in high school. Her mom didn’t much approve at first. However, I stood by her because as parents, we want our kids to be loved and valued on their own merits. About a year later, she announced she was transitioning, and started hormone therapy.
Long story short, a year after that, she ditched the alter-ego and the hormones. She returned to her girl name and got with a man. Gender confusion? I’d say so. Sometime you just have to deal with who you are, what you are, and where you are in life. I can’t just say I’m sick of identifying as poor. Dropping the label won’t make me rich. Just like dropping your d*** won’t make you a woman. Pardon my language.
