Leftists Sneak Porn Literacy Into Elementary Curriculums

“Well, now I’ve seen everything.”

How many times have we either heard, or said some derivative of that statement? Likely more than we could recall. Each time it is uttered, it speaks to personally experiencing a situation or event that one was certain,
not long ago, could possibly happen. However, in our current societal climate, many have found themselves now in the “never say never” category.

Recently, an article on Bretbart.com revealed that one such improbable situation in the form of curriculum is being forced on the K-12 students in Idaho schools. While many may believe that such programs could never
happen in states considered “non-woke”- guess again. As unsuspecting parents found out while living in a very solid red state, this could happen anywhere.

Porn Literacy

According to the article, “Idaho Schools Push ‘Porn Literacy’ Curriculum on Students,” columnist Spencer Lindquist explains how the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare (IDHW) puts such a dangerous plan into operation:

“According to a report from the Idaho Freedom Foundation (IFF), the IDHW acquires sexual education curriculum from a non-profit called Education, Training, and Research (ETR). The curriculum appears to disregard state law, which IFF says “requires sex education taught in public schools to reinforce traditional family arrangements.” ETR’s curriculum includes a “porn literacy” section, which includes instruction on “kink and power, pleasure, sexual identity, sexual acts, and sexual exploration in relation to pornography.” Perhaps most shockingly, the curriculum includes activities where children watch a video titled “Porn: Fact or Fiction” in which cartoon characters engage in sexual acts.”

Lindquist’s report continues:

“The video was created by Amaze.org, a sex education website that also feature videos on abortion pills and a wide range of other mature topics. One video from ETR focuses on “Queering Sex Ed,” and features a conversation with representatives of Planned Parenthood (PP). During the conversation, PP representative Laura Gardener advocates for “LGBTQ- inclusive” sex education, which she says includes “adding a mention of a same sex relationship,” “using the word partner,” or “incorporating gender neutral names and language into scenarios and skits.” Gardener also suggests discussing puberty blockers with children during lessons on puberty.”

Nothing New

Not surprising unfortunately, ‘Porn Literacy’ is not new. In 2019, nearly four years ago, RSEI, or, “Responsible Sex Ed Institute” published the following information on its website to explain their rationale behind teaching porn to individuals whose greatest challenge thus far has been learning to walk and whose short-term endeavors include conquering tying their shoes:

“With the Internet literally at people’s fingertips, pornography has become more accessible in the last few decades than ever before. Youth-serving adults are often expected to educate about Internet safety concerns with students, but sometimes it can feel difficult to start conversations about pornography.

While it may be tempting to simply tell youth not to look at porn, youth may still stumble upon porn that slips through filters, see it at a friend’s house, or seek it out. Ignoring the existence of porn or telling youth to avoid it without a larger conversation can also send the message to youth that sex and sexuality are shameful topics.

These messages may make youth less likely to ask questions or approach other trusted adults with questions about sex. This is especially true if youth are afraid they’ll be punished once adults find out what prompted their questions.”

In the words of former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, “Never let a crisis go to waste,” Democrat ploys and policies such as these remain consistent, taking advantage of innocent parents that trust the systems that these
politicians both fund and support. As a result of our ignorance concerning this, many of the politicians that brought us to where we are will remain in power long after their expiration date.

Eye Opening Time

Had it not been for “Zoom Learning” that forced parents paying little to no attention to give all their attention, it is questionable how much more liberal academia would have gotten away with. Yet despite all that we DO know and have learned, many parents have continued to turn a blind eye as well as a deaf ear to the ongoing contribution to the delinquency of our minors.

In other words, while they were given the power under a premise, they kept the power long after the premise was gone. Regardless of all that we should have learned, we clearly still have no grasp. If anything, we have allowed those in academia more autonomy and license to indoctrinate our children further. Much like the spotted owl and the Buffalo, those children being raised to think for themselves are becoming an endangered species.

The majority of our youth are seemingly cookie-cutter versions of society’s leftovers, operating more like clones than individuals, directly due to being taught what to think– rather than how to think. Where do we go from here, you may ask? In the words of Pastor Voddie T. Baucham Jr., “We cannot continue to send our children to Caesar for their education and be surprised when they come home as Romans.”
