What happened to the endless discussions of Trump’s legal and financial woes? The only thing Leftist pundits will talk about after tonight is Trump the Leftist destroyer.
Two down and none to go. More on that in a bit.
Only a few months ago Leftists spiked the football on Trump’s chances for his rightful second term, as they endlessly targeted him with ridiculous lawsuits. Going in reverse order, look at the outcomes.
Judge Cannon tossed Jack Smith’s unconstitutional case against Trump. So she thwarted any chance for Democrats to further embarrass themselves by prosecuting Trump on the J6 farce.
Next, Democrats got 34 indictments in the kangaroo court assembled by Alvin Bragg. And after the unjust ruling, Trump raised more money in a day than Joe Biden raised in a month. Shortly thereafter, Trump had more money in his campaign coffers than Biden, crushing Democrats hopes, dreams, and bragging rights.
Further, Trump’s team appealed this case. Adding insult to Democrats’ injury, a judge will soon toss this case as the next point of order.
Prior to Bragg’s case, Letitia James got her pound of faux flesh by temporarily winning a case against Trump. She forced Trump to fork over a cash bond of $480+ million. Recall that she threatened to seize Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s Florida residence and campaign command center.
In the end, while inconvenient, the bond constituted little more than a zero-interest bank account for Trump. He will get this money back with certainty.
Real Clear Politics wrote of Trump’s comeuppance:
On July 15, the opening day of the Republican convention, federal judge Aileen Cannon dismissed special counsel Jack Smith’s indictments of former President Donald Trump for misuse of classified documents. Legal arguments aside, it cast a shadow over all the breathless media hype that came before it.
Year after year, partisan “legacy media” outlets have churned out thousands of stories full of anticipation that the walls of scandal would close in on Trump. Once again, a litany of Trump “legal woes” hasn’t damaged his political standing.
A new Media Research Center study of 2023 and the first half of 2024 by Rich Noyes revealed that the evening news shows of ABC, CBS and NBC produced a whopping 1,608 minutes of airtime on Trump legal matters, and as you might expect, it was fiercely negative (95%).
(…)
On Jan. 1, 2023, an average of polls calculated by RealClearPolitics showed 37.2% of Americans had a favorable impression of Trump. By July 10, 2024, that had risen more than five points to 42.5%. At the same time, those viewing Trump unfavorably declined by more than two points to 54.5%.
It’s a stark indication of the media’s dwindling influence. Most Americans view these prosecutions, and the subsequent press hype, as overtly partisan, so they are dismissed. The target became a more sympathetic figure through the onslaught.
In the end, it can feel like endless hours of noise, like … fake news. That’s not to say every fact is false, but the promotional hype turns out to be false. The Robert Mueller probe never achieved the expected Trump indictments that journalists so deeply desired.
By now, Democrats wanted Trump either out of the presidential race, in prison, or broke. And the most ardent Democrats wanted all three.
And yet, what do Democrats have? A candidate that must spend millions on trying to sell to the public. And after tonight, Harris will fall like a road runner cartoon anvil.
Despite all news stories to the contrary, Donald Trump is stronger than he ever was. The man now defines “new and improved”, and should be his own infomercial. I can only imagine how Democrats really feel at this moment, as they set fake narratives about the worst VP in history turned Leftist hero.
The discussion with their “strategists” and “experts” who concocted all the ways in which they would get Trump must be difficult to sit through. After Biden’s massive policy failures, Harris’ strategy is to steal Trump’s legislative moves.
Now the real threats to the constitutional republic continue calling Trump an “existential threat to the democracy”. This, after the Secret Service and the FBI allowed a “lone gunman” to try to take Trump’s head off.
Where are the naysayers?
Not that long ago Leftists from all directions bombarded us with press about Trump. The court cases against him were counted, the indictments trumpeted (pun intended). Also, we were told that Trump is a “convicted felon”. Polls alluded to Democrats that the moniker would cause a panic in the Trump camp, as ReTrumplicans abandoned Trump, and found their way back to the RINOs.
I’m listening intently, and I hear very little about the “convicted felon”. Except that he destroy Biden so badly, Democrats used the debate as an excuse to toss Biden on his boney ass. What will they do after tonight? How many candidates can they toss in one election season? America is about to find out.
