Let’s hope Democrats can keep a close eye on Joe Biden. And not just because he’s a lame duck inching toward the pasture of political oblivion. The man has lost it, and not in a cute, “Where’d I put my glasses?” kind of way, but more like, “Did I just authorize the end of civilization?” kind of way.
Biden’s cognitive decline is no longer a punchline—it’s a problem. After multiple brain aneurysm surgeries in 1988, Biden bounced back into politics. However, but questions linger about the long-term effects of those operations.
I’ve been around the mentally ill, as most of my family are Democrats. And I wouldn’t trust them to cut a cake with a butter knife. Biden has exhibited a string of bizarre public gaffes, which has me wondering: Does Biden know he’s on the brink of starting a nuclear war with Russia, or does he think the “nuclear football” is something in the NFL?
This is the man who has repeatedly stumbled—literally and figuratively—his way through major decisions, including U.S. involvement in Ukraine. Biden allowed Ukraine to escalate tensions with Russia while the United States pumped billions into the conflict. What began as a defense of sovereignty has morphed into a proxy war, with risks that could spiral out of control. Critics, including writers like Matt Taibbi, argue that Biden’s approach is reactionary and dangerous, lacking the strategic foresight necessary for navigating such a volatile geopolitical landscape
Still, the most compelling argument against removing Biden isn’t about policy—it’s about Kamala Harris.
America would rather limp along with a cognitively impaired president than risk handing the reins to Harris. That’s how dire the situation has become. Harris, the first Black female vice president, should have been a triumph for Democrats. Instead, her approval ratings are in the basement, and even her own party seems to view her as a liability.
Democrats touted Harris as the party’s “Great Black Hope” during the 2020 campaign. Now, she’s the political equivalent of a “Do Not Enter” sign. The fear of Harris stepping in has paralyzed the Democratic Party into defending the indefensible: a president who needs cheat sheets to get through press conferences.
This scenario speaks volumes about how the Left operates. They destroyed Joe Biden after his debate performance. One fateful event sent Democrats over the edge to commit treason, and execute a coup on Biden. Then, they elevated the worst VP in history to the “chosen one”, and put a $1 billion makeover on her that failed. Thus, the Great Black Hope was demoted back to being the worst VP in history.
What a difference a day made in the lives of both these feckless Democrats.
Notably, Harris has been “radio silent” since her ass-kicking. For a brief moment a few Democrats clamored for her to replace Biden, but those talks died quickly. The Democrats don’t even want a symbolic President Harris.
Leftists created a system where incompetence is tolerated—so long as it preserves their grip on power. Biden’s bumbling is excused because the alternative, Harris, is viewed as worse.
Even international leaders are noticing the void of leadership in Washington. Biden’s mishandling of foreign policy, particularly with Russia and Ukraine, has raised concerns among allies and adversaries alike. As David Graham of The Atlantic notes, this administration has repeatedly chosen optics over substance, leaving the nation and the world in precarious territory is twofold.
First, the American people are saddled with a president who seems unable to meet the demands of the job. Second, the potential successor inspires even less confidence. The world watches, and not with admiration, but with alarm.
The solution? America needs leadership that prioritizes competence over identity politics, foresight over reaction, and integrity over expedience. Until then, for the next few weeks we’re stuck with a braindead moron and the cackling enigma waiting in the wings. Let’s hope nothing serious jumps off between now and Trump.
