Common Sense is Making a Comeback
President Trump’s policies are united by one defining characteristic: common sense. This straightforward approach has already yielded significant successes in just the initial days of his renewed presidency, reinvigorating optimism across the nation.
A Decisive Crackdown on Illegal Immigration
Illegal immigration offers a clear illustration of the Trump administration’s practical governance. According to Tom Homan, 1,300 violent offenders have been apprehended since Trump resumed office.
🚨NEW: Tom Homan reveals that ICE has already made 1300 arrests during deportation operations:
“We’ve arrested 1300 people, over a thousand of them are criminals.”

These individuals are not petty criminals but perpetrators of grave offenses, both domestically and abroad.
Under previous administrations, these offenders were allowed to enter the country, commit atrocities, and in many cases, were released back into society to repeat their crimes. This recklessness inflicted immeasurable harm on American communities.
By contrast, President Trump has taken decisive action, achieving a dramatic reduction in illegal border crossings. The numbers have plunged from tens of thousands to just 1,200, and they continue to decline. Such swift and effective action underscores the efficiency and resolve of the Trump administration in addressing this long-standing issue. What was deemed an unsolvable crisis under Joe Biden has been resolved with immediacy under Trump’s leadership.
Dismantling the DEI Industry
The Trump administration has also acted boldly to eliminate wasteful spending on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives. During the Biden years, more than $100 million was funneled into K-12 programs promoting divisive concepts such as critical race theory and queer theory.
Joe Biden’s Department of Justice doled out over $100 million in grants relating to diversity, equity, and inclusion for K-12, a new Parents Defending Education report found. Over $45 million went to project proposals that mention restorative practices or social-emotional learning, according to the report, while over $32 million went to proposals directly tied to DEI. Additionally, almost $20 million went to consultants proposing concepts such as critical race theory, critical gender theory, and queer theory, and over $10 million went to DEI-related hiring proposals.
The scale of the waste becomes even more evident in higher education. According to the New York Post, Biden’s Department of Education directed at least $1 billion into DEI initiatives since 2021.
“Biden’s Department of Education has shelled out at least $1 billion on various diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives since 2021, according to a new report.
Researchers unearthed some $490 million on DEI hiring efforts, $343 million on DEI programming, and $170 million on DEI-related mental health, according to a study from Parents Defending Education (PDE), a conservative organization that rallies against what it deems ‘harmful agendas’ in the classroom.
Analysts at PDE combed through troves of public data detailing the grants doled out by the department, which sported a $238 billion budget in fiscal year 2024.
“The only people or groups to benefit from the enormous amount of grant funding are the universities, administrators, and DEI consultants, at the expense of children’s education,” PDE researcher Rhyen Staley told Fox News, which first covered the report.
“This needs to change by placing children’s learning at the forefront of education, instead of prioritizing race-based policies and DEI.”
President Trump’s elimination of DEI programs not only saves taxpayers an extraordinary sum but also removes a source of division within American institutions. These programs did little to improve education or workplace harmony, instead fostering distrust and inefficiency. By redirecting resources to priorities that genuinely benefit the American people, Trump’s policies mark a return to sound governance.
Cleaning House in the Bureaucracy
President Trump has also turned his attention to the entrenched bureaucracy, removing individuals who have failed to serve the nation’s best interests. Security clearances were revoked for 51 intelligence officials who falsely discredited the Hunter Biden laptop story, exposing the deep state’s efforts to manipulate public opinion. Additionally, key Department of Homeland Security officials responsible for allowing cyber vulnerabilities were promptly dismissed.
These decisions reflect Trump’s commitment to accountability and performance. His administration is systematically removing underperforming and politically motivated personnel—a necessary step for restoring public trust in government institutions. Unlike prior administrations, where incompetence often led to promotions, Trump insists on merit and integrity.
The Path Forward
President Trump’s second term embodies a clear vision for the nation’s future. Unfazed by criticism, he remains focused on delivering tangible results. His pragmatic approach resonates not only with conservatives but increasingly with Independents and disillusioned Democrats.
As the nation moves closer to the midterm elections, the momentum behind Trump’s leadership continues to build. The profound contrast between his decisive actions and the failures of the previous administration underscores why his presidency represents a beacon of hope for millions of Americans.
