Ex-GITMO Terrorist Freed by Obama DISPATCHED PERMANENTLY by TRUMP
Less than two months in office, and Trump’s efficiency on the battlefield renders Obama’s treasonous GITMO policy moot.
President Trump tracked down former GITMO terrorists to explain the new American policy.
Putting American security first again is working!
A U.S. airstrike in Yemen on March 2 killed former Guantanamo Bay (GITMO) detainee Yasir Al-Silmi, the Pentagon announced yesterday. GITMO held Silmi between 2002 and 2009. Endangering the world’s security, Obama freed him and many other terrorists.
According to Pentagon estimates, 30 percent of released GITMO detainees return to the battlefield.
President Trump told terrorists and the world there is no statute of limitations when America hunts murderers. Trump reclassified Yemen as an “area of active hostility.” This classification gives the Pentagon more authority to launch strikes without White House approval. Thus, in a flurry of airstrikes unleashed by the Trump administration on al-Qaida in Yemen, Silmi was killed.
Unlike with Obama, President Trump doesn’t go on snipe hunts.
The Trump administration airstrike campaign bombed al-Qaida 44 times over a five day period. These strikes include both manned and unmanned aircraft. Speculation is, ground raids by U.S. Special Forces may follow.
What a stark contrast from the military strikes conducted by the Obama administration in Yemen.
The Long War Journal, a project of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, tracks U.S. airstrikes. Since 2012, the Journal noted that the U.S. averaged a paltry 30 airstrikes in Yemen per year. As noted earlier, President Trump outpaced that rate in less than a week.
But, wait. There’s more good news.
Former GITMO detainee, Abu-Zakariya al-Britani, blew himself up in a suicide bomb in a recent ISIS propaganda video. Saved us the trouble.
President Trump doesn’t like waste. If carpet bombing terror hotbeds mean no more ex-GITMO terrorists roaming free across the globe, America wins.
