NFL Take Note: Vegas Victim Shows What it means to STAND
As the world knows by now, a deranged Leftists targeted Conservative Americans at a Las Vegas concert.
In that massacre, Stephen “Curry” Paddock killed dozens of people and wounded hundreds more, as he shot from his perch in the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino. Throughout the tragedy, there were many acts of courage and heroism that define the American spirit. Put simply, nobody “took a knee” in Vegas, except to pray.
President Trump went to Vegas to comfort the nation. He didn’t just stand in front of a podium and give speeches. He met with those affected by the senseless violence. Cameras captured one of the most profound meetings of the day. It’s a moment the leftist media pretends can’t happen with the president.
WOW: Now this is something you wont see on CNN. Las Vegas victim meets Trump & says: "I will always respect my President, country and flag!" pic.twitter.com/5bB0j3cRvO

Who is this man?
The victim’s name is Thomas Gunderson. Apparently he was shot in the leg. You see him shift his body, as he prepares to get up.
As he awaits the president, the First Lady walks in. The man begins to get up, and you hear the First Lady say to him, “No, don’t get up.”
He gets up anyway to greet the wife of the Commander in Chief and duly elected president of the United States. Something tells me nothing would have stopped him from standing.
The man briefly rests, as you see the president talking to others outside who look mostly like hospital staff. President Trump seems to be getting an update on the patient, obviously not simply interested in a simple meet and greet.
How is he doing? What’s the prognosis, the president likely inquired.
Finally, as the president enters his room, the man stands again.
For Gunderson, honoring the president was like honoring the flag or the national anthem.
Later, the man wrote on his Facebook page:
“I will never lie down when the President of this great country comes to shake my hand! There may be plenty of issues in this country, but I will always respect my country, my president and my flag. Shot in the leg or not, I will stand to show my President the respect he deserves!”
I must say that if this were Barack and Michelle Obama, this visit would have only been a photo-op. No chit-chat with the doctors to get the man’s medical history based on the event.
Despite what he would likely know about the Obamas, this man would still see his responsibility to honor the president and First Lady. Thus, he would have done the same exact thing he did for President Trump and his wife.
All we know about Gunderson is that the 28-year-old was shot in the Vegas massacre. He credits two off-duty female police officers for saving his life.
Obviously, I know nothing of this man’s politics.
Did he vote for President Trump? Perhaps. But what I suggest America and particularly the NFL take note of is his respect for the office.
You can bet that the members of the NFL would have declined a visit from the president and First Lady. They would have used the bogus excuse of “racial oppression”, none of which has been done by the president or First Lady. Players would have claimed that it’s “the system” they were protesting.
Yet, you can bet NONE of these NFL players would have done the same under Obama. That’s their double-standard.
Far too many blacks hate America, but loved Obama. Well, like it or not, Obama represented America for 8 years. Conservatives vehemently disagreed with the direction of the country, however we all respected the office. This victim just did the same thing. Regardless of his politics, he respected his country.
The president and First Lady have many duties and many places to be. For them to use their time for such purposes is worthy of gratitude. Luckily, we still have a few citizens who believe in being a class-act.
