GETTING UGLY: More Salacious Info on Matt Lauer Emerges [VIDEO]

We now have more information around the firing of Matt Lauer.

Allegations are that Lauer sexually assaulted a staffer while covering the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. Quite a long time to wait to spill the beans.

Lauer’s colleague Savanah Guthrie said she was “heartbroken” and Megyn Kelly noted that the news “hit close to home.”

Lauer, however, has remained silent on the matter, and has yet to release a statement.

Now we’ve learned from Variety of even more allegations of sexual misconduct by Lauer.

As the co-host of NBC’s “Today,” Matt Lauer once gave a colleague a sex toy as a present. It included an explicit note about how he wanted to use it on her, which left her mortified.

On another day, he summoned a different female employee to his office, and then dropped his pants, showing her his penis. After the employee declined to do anything, visibly shaken, he reprimanded her for not engaging in a sexual act.

He would sometimes quiz female producers about who they’d slept with, offering to trade names. And he loved to engage in a crass quiz game with men and women in the office: “f—, marry, or kill,” in which he would identify the female co-hosts that he’d most like to sleep with.

There are few embarrassing flashbacks, like when Lauer interviewed Bill O’Reilly on this very issue.

Lauer scored a big interview with Bill O’Reilly who had been let go from Fox News earlier this year. Lauer grilled O’Reilly with a sharp line of questioning over the issue. As you watch the interview, understand that Lauer’s activities occurred years before the alleged incident involving O’Reilly.

Lauer opines to O’Reilly,

“You were probably the last guy in the world that they wanted to fire, because you were the guy that the ratings and the revenues were built on. You carried that network on your shoulders for a lot of years,” Lauer said. “So doesn’t it seem safe to assume that the people at Fox News were given a piece of information, or given some evidence, that simply made it impossible for you to stay on at Fox News?”

O’Reilly rightly called that a “false assumption.” He added,

“There were a lot of other business things in play at that time and still today that 21st Century was involved with,” O’Reilly said. “And it was a business decision that they made. But there isn’t any smoking gun.”

I’m not sure of Lauer’s ratings, but few would argue that Lauer wasn’t the centerpiece of The Today Show. Talk about prophetic Karma.

Next, let’s look at a bit of the tongue in cheek ribbing of Matt Lauer’s behavior.

From Mediaite:

Couric, of course, co-hosted the TODAY with Lauer for years, and in 2012, she made a remark to Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live that didn’t get much pick-up at the time.

Cohen played a game of “Plead the Fifth” with Couric and asked her at one point, “You co-hosted the Today Show with Matt Lauer for 15 years. What is Matt’s most annoying habit?”

“He pinches me on the ass a lot,” she responded.

And here’s one the Left likely wish they could take back.

As Mediaite reported on the “faux” incident:

While we wait for specifics regarding the allegations levied against the former TODAY host, we can watch this cringeworthy “skit” from 2010, which features Lauer pretending to be a victim of sexual harassment.

Here’s the premise. Surveillance cameras catch Willie Geist smacking Lauer on the butt and then, well, that’s pretty much it. The joke is that it’s hilarious when men sexually harass other men, or something? Who the heck knows. It’s not really that funny.

Anyways, there is a part in which Lauer is interviewed and asked if he felt “victimized.” Here is his response, which deserves him a place in the pantheon of all-time comedy greats.

“I’m upset for a couple of reasons. One that he denied it. I mean why deny it? If you do it, own up to it. And secondly since it happened, he hasn’t called, he hasn’t written,” he said.

There is a part in the skit which Lauer is interviewed and asked if he felt “victimized.” Check out his comment and see if he lives up to this advice when he finally issues a statement:

“I’m upset for a couple of reasons. One that he denied it. I mean why deny it? If you do it, own up to it. And secondly since it happened, he hasn’t called, he hasn’t written,” he said.

Lauer also mocked the much-debunked notion that women invite sexual harassment due to their standard of dress, he joked in the context of the skit:

“I didn’t do anything differently. I wasn’t wearing a different cologne. It just–it just– this was uninitiated.”

And what about this “too close to reality” post-bit, bit.

They actually enlisted guest Dustin Hoffman, who has recently faced his own issues with sexual harassment. Hoffman responded:

“I’m a little confused. Did Willie touch him with his willie?” Hoffman joked, as everyone laughed.

Simply put, nobody on the Left is immune. They have ensnared themselves in traps of their own creation.
