Reason Latest Poll With Trump at 49 Percent Is Media BS
The press looks at the latest poll for President Trump as a reason to celebrate.
They aren’t fooling this black man. This poll is meant to demoralize.
As The Daily Mail reports,
President Donald Trump‘s approval rating jumped to a seven-month high on Friday following a State of the Union address that was widely received as a success.
The Rasmussen Reports daily tracking poll shows 49 per cent of likely U.S. voters believe Trump is doing a good job in the White House. The same number disagree.
The last Time the poll put Trump’s number so high was in mid-June of last year.
The 49 per cent number puts him above his performance level in the 2016 election, when 46.1 per cent of voters chose him over Hillary Clinton and a handful of minor candidates.
Let’s reconcile these numbers with the poll after President Trump’s State of the Union address.
As Miranda Dawson wrote, these numbers should bother the Democrats most.

President Trump received a 75 percent approval for his SOTU speech. That’s really bad news for Democrats. But inside the numbers reveals far deeper problems.
According to the poll 43 percent of Democrats liked the president’s speech. That number is huge. At best, Trump likely carried only 30 percent of the Democrat vote on November 8, 2016. So the idea that he now carries an additional 13 percent is huge. Add to this the recent poll showing the twice as many blacks support Trump now than on election day, and you see the problem for the Democrats.
Next, 72 percent of Independents liked the speech. Again, a big increase over the Independents who supported Trump a year ago.
As Rasmussen suggest, these poll number could rise:
It’s possible that Monday’s overall approval will climb even higher than 49 per cent.
The Rasmussen poll is a three-day rolling average published on weekdays; Friday’s release only includes two days’ polling after Trump’s State of the Union triumph.
But another overlooked poll by the media came from Rasmussen. In that poll, voter were asked whether Trump would keep the promises he made in his address, a majority said he was more likely to do so than other presidents.
Recall the Democrats waged many attacks on President Trump calling him a liar, but apparently to no avail.
Check out what Time posted about the Russian collusion:
When President Trump sat down with the New York Times for an interview recently, he said something untrue about every 75 seconds.
That’s not just the usual political boasting and grandstanding. Those were actual, verifiable claims which professional fact checkers investigated and found to be untrue.
For example, Trump said in the interview that “virtually every Democrat” has said that the Trump campaign did not collude with the Russians during the 2016 election, while there was “tremendous collusion” between Democrats and the Russians.
….Also, there is NO COLLUSION!

That’s not just false but “breathtakingly false,” as one fact-checker put it. Democrats have not exonerated Trump, though some have been circumspect about what we know and don’t know about Russian meddling, and there is little evidence that Democrats were colluding with Russia.
In fact, the CIA, FBI and National Security Agency found in January of 2017 that Russia aimed to discredit Hillary Clinton and help Trump’s chances in the election, so the claim doesn’t make much sense.
Think Time still see what Trump says as a lie or a conspiracy theory?
If you were to analyze what Time called a lie every 75 seconds by Trump, you will find out who the real liars are. And to the president’s credit, he’s managed to make the “fake news” moniker stick.
