Troops to the Border: Trump Conquers Communist China Now Communist California
Just the tip. Then 9 months later Jerry Brown births President Trump’s political baby.
Like China, Jerry Brown may soon find himself beguiled by President Trump’s common sense approach to leadership. Thus, the acrimonious beginning will be replaced by dinners at the White House, and eventual capitulation to Trump’s strategy.
As the Washington Post reported,
California Gov. Jerry Brown (D), the only border state governor who had not yet committed troops to President Trump’s National Guard deployment, said Wednesday that he will accept federal funding for 400 personnel — though they would be barred from working on wall construction.
Yes, Jerry Brown blinked.
The most vehement of the anti-Trumpers can’t fight protecting California citizens any longer. Because Brown’s state is in turmoil.
Counties are now fighting back. No longer do citizens suffer in quiet desperation. And the revolution that began in Orange County now spreads like a glorious panacea, destined to save the state from the evil of progressivism.
Governor Brown will soon have little choice but to jump on board.
National Guard troops fall under the command of state governors, and in a letter to Defense Secretary Jim Mattis and Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, Brown said those from California will support operations against drug traffickers, gun runners and smuggling gangs.
“Combating these criminal threats are priorities for all Americans — Republicans and Democrats,” Brown wrote.
Round One of this war has undoubtedly gone to President Trump.
Brown tried a “cya” move, saying the troops won’t participate in building the wall.
“But let’s be crystal clear on the scope of this mission,” his letter continued. “This will not be a mission to build a new wall. It will not be a mission to round up women and children or detain people escaping violence and seeking a better life. And the California National Guard will not be enforcing federal immigration laws.”
Regardless of Brown’s comments, the optics on this are clear. Illegals represent a “clear and present danger”, thus the president has the upper hand. And though Brown is nuttier than squirrel turds, he understands that he’d better get on this wagon fast.
Trump tweeted praised Brown’s decision.
“California Governor Jerry Brown is doing the right thing and sending the National Guard to the Border,” Trump wrote. “Thank you Jerry, good move for the safety of our Country!”
So Donald Trump remains a diplomat.
He kicks your butt, then picks you up and dusts you off. Good politics.
Needless to say, Brown and his ilk must be backed into a corner, and that’s what has happened. But a few more kicks to the groin, and slowly they get the message that they picked a fight with somebody who isn’t going away.
In his most recent weekly address the president called the state “a border-free zone where thousands of criminal aliens can roam free.”
This is exactly what he said when he began his journey to the presidency, and the Left scoffed. They called him xenophobic and far worse. Yet, he now holds the title of President Trump.
Clearly, President Trump knows how to win. His biggest victory in life was defeating Hillary Clinton and the swamp that essentially guaranteed her ascension to the White House as Madame President. But we all know the end to that tale of woe, at least from Hillary Clinton and soon dozens of others’ perspectives.
So Trump welcomed the fight with Brown. Consider what Trump did to Brown as grabbing him by the p*ssy. And Jerry Brown actually liked it.
