Michael Cohen was to be the undoing of Donald Trump.
After all, who knows more about a man than his attorney. In fact, one’s attorney may know more about his client than his client’s wife knows about him.
And Cohen was Trump’s attorney when he was just “The Donald”. No Mr. President.
So Cohen knew the inner workings of Trump’s empire, including all the bimbos who sued the man just because they were in a picture together. He handled many frivolous lawsuits, the type waged against men of means on the regular.
Yet Democrats tried to get Trump with the bimbo eruptions. But they implemented their devious plan only after helping Trump win the nomination. Oh the irony.
The Democrats WANTED to face Trump, thinking the #MeToo movement would take the man down. They failed miserably, and here’s why: nobody believes a billionaire playboy has trouble getting the “nay nay” from women.
As Trump said in the Billy Bush tapes, well…you know!
Post-presidency, Democrats decided to continue the attack. And what a choice of bimbo this time.
Enter Stormy Daniels.
In what looked like satire, the Leftist clowns chose a porn star to be the poster child of the #MeToo movement. A woman who really does let men grab her by the “nay nay” and do a whole lot more.
Honestly, I’m still trying to figure out what kind of moron came up with this strategy to bring down Trump?! A porn star?!
Back to Cohen
Cohen was to have all the answers for the Democrats when they got the FBI to raid his office. If anybody had the goods on Trump, it would be Cohen.
And what a sheister! Cohen actually taped his client discussions with then-candidate Trump; tapes that were meant to be Trump’s undoing.
Laughingly, the tapes that were meant to topple Trump ended up exonerating him. Just another Al Capone’s vault, or in the case of Maddow, a “Trump’s taxes” episode.
Cohen ended up flailing helplessly in the wind, as Trump still stands.
But Cohen had one more act. One more way to get to Trump as Axios points out.
Michael Cohen, President Trump’s former attorney who until June served as the Republican Party’s deputy finance chair, today changed his party registration from Republican to Democrat, according to a knowledgeable source.
Between the lines: Cohen went online around noon to the Albany-based New York State board of elections to make the change, according to the source. The move fits a pattern of Cohen publicly breaking from the man for whom he once said he’d take “a bullet.”
Keep in mind that Cohen has been signaling his break with Trump for months now, after Trump didn’t lift a finger to defend him from charges of campaign finance violations over Cohen’s payments of hush money to keep two women quiet about their affairs with Trump.
In his guilty plea in August, Cohen implicated Trump by suggesting that the then-presidential candidate directed him to keep the affairs quiet.
So now Cohen is a Democrat.
A Jewish New York attorney switched parties? I think the bigger news is if Cohen was ever really a Republican.
I chuckle at the notion of this hurting Trump. I suspect this may be what Democrats feel after the midterms. Like they got a symbolic win.
