Since when does a wretched wench like Speaker Nancy Pelosi concede any political ground on budgeting? Never. Until now.
In the last rip-off of the American taxpayers, Pelosi funded museums and about every pet project of the Democrats. And all based on the fake science of the Wuflu virus. She rejoiced in fleecing the American taxpayers of trillions of dollars over the ruse.
But after Salon-Gate, Pelosi was forced to back down. The Wuflu ruse came front and center, so Mnuchin forced her hand.
As The Hill reported:
Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) have informally agreed to pursue a clean, short-term stopgap measure to avert a government shutdown at the end of the month, sources in both parties confirmed Thursday.
That means the continuing resolution (CR) needed to keep the government open past Sept. 30 would be free of controversial policy riders that have bogged down previous funding bills, significantly lowering the odds of a shutdown leading up to the crucial Nov. 3 elections.
If this is true, then Pelosi got nothing. But it gets better as the article suggests:
The tentative deal also means the government funding bill and a new coronavirus relief package being negotiated between Pelosi and Mnuchin would not be part of the same talks.
Both Mnuchin and Pelosi, who spoke Tuesday, agreed to “work to avoid a shutdown and keep the government open, and that the best way to do that is a clean CR,” said a source familiar with the talks.
“House Democrats support a clean continuing resolution,” added Pelosi spokesman Drew Hammill.
So, no more money for this bullsh*t virus, at least for the time being.
Frankly, Americans should revolt if any additional funding from taxpayers goes to this “scamdemic”. Now if they want to recoup funds from the lying skank politicians who approved the original funds or who perpetuated the fraud of Wuflu, then I’m all for that.
This may be Pelosi’s biggest embarrassment since relinquishing the gavel years ago. To put it mildly, this deal was a bitter pill for Pelosi to swallow. But at least her hair looked good while she did it.
