Make Leftists LIVE their lies and we could end all this nonsense on diversity.
And that’s just what happened to Rachel Nichols after she explained Leftists’ real views on diversity. Most love the “concept” of diversity, but not to practice it.
Apparently, Nichols was having a private conversation with somebody she thought she could trust. However, she learned: you can’t trust a Leftist as far as you throw one.
So, Nichols’ private conversation was recorded and leaked.
According to report by The Daily Caller,
Nichols has been in the news nonstop ever since a private recording of her discussing ESPN co-worker Maria Taylor was leaked, and it’s been a PR disaster. Unfortunately, ESPN can’t seem to contain the fire.
In a recording from 2020, Nichols suggested that Taylor was potentially being pushed up the ladder at ESPN because of the network’s history, according to The New York Times.
She said the following in July 2020:
I wish Maria Taylor all the success in the world — she covers football, she covers basketball. If you need to give her more things to do because you are feeling pressure about your crappy longtime record on diversity — which, by the way, I know personally from the female side of it — like, go for it. Just find it somewhere else. You are not going to find it from me or taking my thing away.
Let’s be honest. Nichols’ view on diversity represents all woke white Leftists. Obviously, they like “woke” in theory, but not in application.
And I don’t blame Leftists for this point of view, one I happen to share. However, I do blame them for being HYPOCRITES.
You see, most people believe in a meritocracy. Earn your way. As I say to my youngest son all the time, “Your attitude dictates your altitude.” Well, the attitude of Leftists should leave them all in a deep hole in the Grand Canyon. Unless you are one of the Affirmative Action crowd.
If you are Black, you can be rude, show up late, and play the race card routinely. And that is the problem Nichols had with Taylor.
But how’s this for irony. Nichols outing by a “friend” led to her losing her job to…you guessed it: a black woman. Nichols was replaced by Malika Andrews for sideline reporting. And of course outed as a legit human being who can sympathize with another person’s situation, without feeling guilt for having achieved her own success.
Still, Nichols fell on the sword. She apologized for her TRUE feelings.

Rightly, Nichols got support from social media.
She didn’t even say anything negative about Maria she said something negative about ESPN why such an uproar?

People just love an excuse to be outraged these. I found nothing wrong with what Rachel said.

Exactly she just pointed out espns pathetic record with regard to minority hiring and how she has had to deal with it as a female and somehow she is being made a scapegoat..this is absurdity

Not every Black/White confrontation is about race. Big Picture, Rachel is 48, Maria is young and pretty, and now gifted assignments that were previously Rachel’s. This is about self preservation; not race.

Of course, Nichols apology doesn’t come off as deeply personal. Because it wasn’t. Nichols is about Nichols. And that’s ok. Because she likely believes she earned it, feminism notwithstanding.
Regardless, Nichols would be better off telling the truth. Better yet, living the truth.
