According to news reports, at least 100 people have been wounded and 43 are confirmed dead after an explosion at a Shiite Muslim mosque in northern Afghanistan, a Taliban police official said.
I wonder if Joe Biden is ready to take responsibility for this act of terrorism. Clearly, the President understands his culpability- even if he is sucking his pacifier and wearing Depends.
No one has yet claimed responsibility for the blast at the Gozar-e-Sayed Abad Mosque in Kunduz, the capital of Kunduz province. Dost Mohammad Obaida, the deputy police chief for Kunduz province, said that the majority of victims have been killed.
Now that Joe Biden left Afghanistan under terrorist rule, we get the first of likely many bombings. Here’s a reminder of where we left off.
13 Marines were killed and dozens of Afghans during what Team Demento called the largest and most successful evacuation in history. An interesting description by most people’s standards. Particularly when measured against, well…all other evacuations in history!
In the aftermath, the U.S. left behind an estimated $83 billion in the finest military gear ever manufactured. Perhaps Biden can take credit soon for some of that ordinance being used in the bombing?
What we do know is that the Taliban promptly flew Apache helicopters over Kabul with the bodies of Afghans who supported America hanging from the skids. And what of the door-to-door search for the Americans left behind and the aforementioned Afghans?
I’m willing to bet Biden pretends we got all our men out. However, we know that just because Biden decided to pay the ransoms, we don’t have all our people home. And we certainly haven’t rescued our deepest allies. All we’ve accomplished in the last 9 months is removing Donald Trump from office. After that, it all went to hell in a handbasket.
If we still had a real president, none of this would be happening. Liberals should keep that in mind. Their coup left real bodies on the ground. It’s no longer a metaphor to say Democrats have blood on their hands.
The New York Times weighed in on the situation:
The Islamic State Khorasan, or ISIS-K, a Sunni extremist group, has long targeted Shiite Muslims in Afghanistan, focusing almost exclusively on the Hazara ethnic minority, which is heavily Shiite.
The newly installed Taliban government, having overthrown the country’s Western-backed administration in August, is wrestling with a collapsing economy as foreign funding remains largely frozen and with invigorated Islamic State fighters who have conducted guerrilla-style attacks and bombings across parts of the country.
In the months before American forces withdrew, some 8,000 to 10,000 jihadi fighters from Central Asia, the North Caucasus region of Russia, Pakistan and the Xinjiang region in western China poured into Afghanistan, a United Nations report concluded in June. Most are associated with the Taliban or Al Qaeda, which are closely linked, but others are allied with the Islamic State.
As Taliban officials shift from leading an insurgency to forming a functioning state, providing security to a population ravaged by more than 40 years of war has been their benchmark. But Islamic State attacks have undercut the Taliban’s promises, leading to swift and violent retribution against the terrorist group.
“Leave No Man Behind” is no longer the American battle cry.
Furthermore, if Americans aren’t being rescued, you can bet no Afghan is safe. They were murdered while praying. That’s a special kind of twisted to obliterate a place of worship. And the mainstream media will move on pretty quick because they don’t want to dwell on Biden’s screw-ups.
Peter Aitkin commented on the #FakeNews:
They have their hands full protecting Biden on a long list of snafus. The economy is in shambles, and the muscle-memory of Trump’s stock market now atrophies. Consumer confidence is down, and Biden’s vaccine mandates aren’t helping America’s morale.
So why pile on Biden by bringing up his foreign policy f*ck ups, when the man has so many other problems. If you answer, “Because he’s the president!” then you still live under the delusion of how the press treated Trump. Because under Biden, the Leftist press only sees unicorns and rainbows.
