Kamala Harris is a complete letdown at the border. She’s done nothing to secure our southern boundary. So, she might as well head up the National Space Council.
Harris knows as much about space and she knows about foreign policy. Which isn’t much. It’s looking pretty bad for the VP. In fact, her public relations are non-existent. Thus, it’s not surprising to learn Harris paid people to interact with. She clearly needs a script to keep from appearing out of her depth.
The Washington Examiner reports:
The first installment of Vice President Kamala Harris’s YouTube Originals space series featured child actors who auditioned for their roles in the project.
Trevor Bernardino, a 13-year-old actor from Carmel, California, and one of five teenagers featured in the video, was asked to submit a monologue discussing something he is passionate about and three questions for a world leader, according to an interview with KSBW TV. Trevor then interviewed with the production director.
“And then after that, like a week later, my agent called me, and he’s like, ‘Hey Trevor, you booked it,’” Trevor said. He didn’t learn until much later that he would be meeting with Harris, who was appointed to lead the National Space Council earlier this year.
Bernardino was joined by Derrick Brooks II, another child actor , Emily Kim, likewise a child actor , Zhoriel Tapo, a child actor and aspiring journalist who has interviewed former first lady Michelle Obama , and Sydney Schmooke.
“All five of them are actors,” Bernardino’s father, Carlo, told the Washington Examiner in an interview Monday.
In other words, they couldn’t find a group of kids that wanted to interact with Harris for free. But wait, there’s more! Not only did Harris hire actors, but the taxpayers are footing the bill.
Can you imagine Trump paying kids to hang out with him, and ask him questions?
In fact, I remember Trump inviting kids to the White House. And he didn’t have to pad their pockets. Instead, these kidss were so excited to meet and greet the President. Because it doesn’t take a grown up to know when you’re in the presence of a good leader. Two incidents come to mind. One occurred on National Take Your Daughters/Sons to Work Day. The Press Corps was replaced by their offspring that day. Both the kids and the President had a blast. Trump was quoted saying, “frankly, the kids ask better questions.”
On a separate occasion, Trump allowed one eleven year old boy to mow the lawn at the White House. This is what you call a president with a personality. Harris couldn’t find one if they carried them at Nordstrom’s.
Hatching Chickens
There’s an old saying that applies here. Don’t count your chickens before they hatch! Bernardino’s father expressed hope that Harris’ video would become a series. As the mom of a singer/song-writer, I get that desire to see your kid achieve their dream. But I have to say, a series starring the Vice President is a hard sell, on either side of the aisle. But Saturday Night Live might have room for a few interpretations.
