Hunter Biden’s History of Hidden Deals

It makes sense that Hunter Biden tried his crooked business dealings in America before he ventured across the pond. And where better to test the schemes than in Joe Biden’s back yard?

The Delaware News Journal reported on emails about Hunter’s attempt to infiltrate the Delaware political system, as he is linked to several companies. Each appears to have wanted special treatment from the Delaware state government that one can only get when partnered with an “influence peddler”. The evidence of this was gathered from Hunter’s abandoned laptop.

In the exchanges, Hunter acted as a mediator for companies in Delaware looking to bounce back from the recession of 2008. In his role, Hunter personally contacted the Delaware Economic Development Office (DEDO), according to the emails.

These business dealings occurred simultaneously with Hunter’s overseas business of selling access to his father. However, as the conversations between the president’s son and state officials do not appear to violate any laws, these local stories weren’t covered. Still, as George Washington University professor of government contracts explains, “most people in politics that care about ethics … take pains to avoid this situation”.

The emails reveal that Hunter Biden directly interacted with Delaware government officials while he was working with his financial firm, Rosemont Seneca Partners, as well as other officials using Hunter Biden’s name in correspondence about business dealings.

The obvious question: what service does Hunter Biden offer? The obvious answer: access to Joe Biden.

Being from Delaware, Hunter had every right to try to improve his state, perhaps attract new businesses. And in brokering such deals, he should be compensated. Thus, in one April, 12, 2010, email, a DEDO staffer named Patricia Cannon told Hunter that they would “pull out the stops” for two of his client companies, DuCool and Aqua Sciences.

Both DuCool and Aqua Sciences were considering moving to Delaware and DEDO was a Delaware government cabinet-level agency responsible for attracting new businesses. Clearly nothing wrong here. But as with most things involving the Bidens, there’s more to the story.

The timeline for the Biden-DEDO connection dates back to Joe Biden’s days as a senator. As it turns out, Joe Biden’s brother-in-law, Bruce Saunders received his appointment as director of DEDO in the 1970s due to none other than Joe Biden, according to the New York Times.

No surprise there.

I’m no investigator. But I suggest the powers-that-be look into any deals for the two companies Hunter “represented”. No crime exists for bringing these companies into Delaware. But if you look under the hood of this deal, I bet you will find some big advantage for the companies and the Bidens. Of course, at the expense of Delaware taxpayers.
