Nikki Haley deserves ridicule. And I’ve chronicled twice in the past couple of weeks why she is unfit for any public office. At least as a Republican.
Haley suffers from “Foot in Mouth Disease”, almost as much as Joe Biden. Her attempt to be clever in answer a question about what the Civil War was about backfired. And then Haley recently declared that America has never been a racist country.
Sir Charles as he’s known blasted Haley on her stupidity.

Barkley said sarcastically on his CNN show called King Charles, “She’s one hundred correct.”
“If you forget about slavery, Jim Crow, segregation, antisemitism, Asian hate that’s been going on in this country, America’s been smooth sailing! You can’t be surprised. That was just stupid, America was built on racism.”
What upsets me most about people like Haley who try to be cute in answering questions on racism is their lack of historical knowledge on the subject. Thus, they don’t pounce on Democrats as the real racists, both then and now.
The structural racism in America today is born and bred by Democrats. Racism in academia, policing, and so on. If you look into any “systematic racism” as it is often called, its roots grow in a Democrat-planted field. Democrats create racism where none exist.
Clearly, only the most ignorant person would say what Haley said, no matter what rationalization you might want to use to defend such an idea.
Historically, America has been blatantly racist against blacks and other people of color.
As Barkley acknowledged,
“You can criticize the country. This is the greatest country in the world, but you can still criticize it. Anybody who thinks we don’t have racism – you turn on the TV every single day, there’s racism! And for her, somebody who wants to be the president of the United States to say something that stupid, that’s just stupid.”
Barkley has provided political commentary on issues related to blacks in America. And generally speaking, he tends to side with the pragmatic, dare I say conservative point of view.
As for Haley, she’s obviously detached from reality. This tends to happen when you spend too much time with inside-the-beltway” types who don’t know anything about the real world.
Barkley alludes to this view, saying:
“I think the reason she said everything is rosy with Black people, she’s been in New Hampshire and Iowa for the last two months, she ain’t seen no Black people!”
I’m not sure who runs Haley’s campaign, but she’s not doing herself any favors. She may not need or depend on the black vote. But the black vote can be very loud. And on this issue, expect the race baiters to rightfully call her out.
Maybe Haley can call one of her black friends to hit the campaign trail with her, and restore sanity?
I find it hard to believe that people actually want Haley to be president. Look, I can overlook a few things. But when the comments are this stupid, it’s difficult to just pretend they didn’t happen.
