Former president Donald Trump’s businesses received at least $5.5 million from China while he was in office, according to a new report released by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee.
I’m stopping here to explain how Trump wins in the very first sentence. And it’s with two words: Trump’s businesses.
What a moronic strategy to try to tie Trump’s legitimate business to corruption. The article continues,
The foreign payments, which were detailed in the committee’s 156-page report titled “White House for Sale,” collectively included over $5 million from China’s Embassy in the United States, a state-owned Chinese bank, and a state-owned Chinese airline company. House Oversight Democratic lawmakers obtained these financial records from Trump’s former accounting firm, Mazars USA, and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
So imagine how this plays out. Trump has hotels, resorts, and various other business entities. Does he need to track all the foreign nationals who play golf at his resorts or book rooms at his hotel?

Democrats want to set the narrative that foreign nationals have corrupted Trump by spending what amounts to pocket change at Trump entities. And for legitimate business.
China is one of at least 20 countries to pay a total of roughly $7.8 million to Trump-owned businesses and properties while he was in office, including the former president’s hotels in New York City, Las Vegas, and Washington, D.C., according to the Thursday report. While in the White House, Trump reportedly accepted money from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, India, the Philippines, and many more.
“Critically, even this subset of documents reveals a stunning web of millions of dollars in payments made by foreign governments and their agents directly to Trump-owned businesses while President Trump was in the White House,” the report reads. “These payments were made while these governments were promoting specific foreign policy goals with the Trump administration and even, at times, with President Trump himself, and as they were requesting specific actions from the United States to advance their own national policy objectives.”
“By elevating his personal financial interests and the policy priorities of corrupt foreign powers over the American public interest, former President Trump violated both the clear commands of the Constitution and the careful precedent set and observed by every previous Commander-in-Chief,” House Oversight ranking member Jamie Raskin (D., Md.) wrote in the report’s foreword.
I guess Democrats haven’t been snakebit enough by Trump? How many battles does Trump need to win before Democrats realize the futility of their actions?
Then again, perhaps this new unbelievably stupid tactic proves that Democrats know their current strategies have all failed?
After 91 indictments by Democrats, one would think they would back down a bit; to see if the indictment strategy works. This latest move proves that Democrats have no confidence in their judicial malfeasance.
But Democrats are crafty. Always playing the long game, Democrats deploy multiple strategies.
The new non-information and subterfuge comes to light as House Republicans continue investigating Joe Biden in an impeachment inquiry over his alleged involvement in foreign-business dealings with his son, Hunter. And Democrats will do almost anything to keep the public focus off the real criminals: the Biden family.
What desperation Democrats must feel to accuse Trump of taking foreign money because foreigners stayed at his hotels or played golf at his resorts? Surely they realize these are legitimate businesses, sure to bring more scrutiny on the Bidens.
I’d love to see how Hunter Biden explains his products.
The Bidens offer nothing except access to their one product: Joe Biden. Nobody would do business with the Bidens had it not been for the offer of access to Joe Biden. And Joe Biden acting on the legislation that helped his family businesses.
As with all things where Leftists try to get Trump, they will crush themselves under their own weight.
