Cancel the Second Trump-Biden Debate

When I was coming up through the ranks learning marital arts, I hated losing whether in the dojo or in the ring.

I took my lumps for a long time as I learned my skill. And having started lessons at an early age, I received a lot of butt-kickings. The lessons didn’t bother me, though. They were part of the learning experience, and I would take note of those who wanted to embarrass me.

I recall one tournament where a young kid named Sosa showed up to fight a black belt named Mr. Holland. Holland had been around forever, and most people had a session with him at one point or another. Sosa ran into him as a young teen, and Mr. Holland was unreasonably cruel.

I was a referee at this tournament. And when the time came to pick opponents, all the black belts lined up, and the head ref counted one two, one two, and paired up the opponents. I noticed Sosa looking at the line and moving from odd to even, though I wasn’t sure why. I learned later from another judge that Sosa had a long-standing beef with Mr. Holland.

Sosa succeeded in arranging to fight Mr. Holland, a man 30-years his senior in the first match.

From the moment the match started, Sosa showed lots of intensity for a point tournament. Instead of “love-tapping” to get the point,, limiting power to showcase speed and accuracy, Sosa pulled no pulled no punches or kicks. He lets fists and feet fly like he was fighting full-contact.

His first series of kicks wobbled Holland and bloodied his nose. He needed a break, as referees tended to him. They were going to disqualify Sosa, who refused to turn his back and sit down out of respect as the tournament staff worked on Holland.

A few minutes later, the match resumed. Sosa took no time in repeating what had happened earlier. He threw kicks to Holland’s head damn near knocking him out. Referees halted the match again to tend to Holland.

As for Sosa,he didn’t even wait to be disqualified. He just grabbed his bag and gear and left the tournament a happy young man.

I was told later that Sosa had waited four years for the rematch. Which brings me to Joe Biden.

Given the ass-whooping that Trump put on Biden in that debate, Biden should be demanding to “run it back”; chasing Trump like Ali did Liston. That’s what warriors do. They want to get back in the battle asap.

Biden should be asking to move up the debate from Sept to now. Instead, there is dead silence. Little to no discussion of the second debate. Instead, Biden runs around speaking to any Leftist Black organization to offer support.

But the debate question goes wider  than Trump versus Biden.

After Trump selected JD Vance as his running mate, the Left pretended to lick their chops over Kamala Harris debating him. But as with her demented boss, the Left has been “radio silent” on this. And for obvious reasons. Vance would destroy Harris in a debate.

While Donald Trump takes a bullet, then shows up to his convention, Joe Biden sequesters alone to fight a cold.,, and he’s anointed Harris to do his bidding. A fool asking a fool to step in for him.

The instinct to win is either born in you or developed in you at a young age. For me it was both.

Beat me, and I would fight you until I won, consistently. Fox News fought and beat me. But I’m still in the fight, though they may not know it.

I will never give up, and the truth that got me fired has been revealed. Fox will one day apologize to me in some form, and I won’t stop fighting until they do. That’s what people who seek the truth do. It’s easy to fight for the right reason. And I will tell you that the toughest fight you will ever have is with somebody who fights on principle.

Principle dulls the pain of a strike, whether getting or receiving. But principle also sharpens the senses. Because Trump fights for principles, he won’t lose. He will fight like his life depends on it. And as we learned recently, it very well may depend on it.

So Trump stood ready for the second debate, yet Biden made no mention of the second debate.

Now we have Kamala Harris.

Democrats say that Trump is scared to debate Kamala Harris. Ironically, they said the same thing about Trump when they set the debate with Biden, and we all know how that ended up.

By now, Democrats should just stop with the “Trump is scared” nonsense. Trump has been through enough difficult times for ten lifetimes and not only survived, but thrives. And Trump relishes the opportunity to dispatch Harris to the world as he did Joe Biden. Trump advisor Jason Miller said,

“Not only will there be another debate but there should be multiple debates. We do think there should be some diversification in the outlets for who hosts a debate, but I think the public would be sold short if we only did one debate against Kamala Harris in the general election”

In truth, Democrats’ current biggest fear is the debate between Trump and Harris. Their only strategy is to pretend that Harris is a capable debater and invokes fear in Trump. To believe this, they must not have watched tape of her in previous debates. I certainly recall where Tulsi Gabbard scorched Harris on her record.

Democrats may have gotten Harris’ “most liberal Senator” scraped from the internet, but they can’t scrape her complete record. So for me the question is, “What’s Democrats’ Plan B when Trump take Harris behind the woodshed?”
