In issuing an inadvertent and unexpected backhand of Kamala Harris, former US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi blamed Joe Biden for the brutal ass-kicking of Harris by Trump.
Pelosi said Democrats might have fared better in Tuesday’s election if President Joe Biden had exited the race sooner. And the reason why could be considered both racist and sexist, since Pelosi told the New York Times that “had the president gotten out sooner, there may have been other candidates in the race”.
What?! Is she saying the Kamala Harris wasn’t the best candidate?
Consider for a moment that one of the most powerful politicians in Washington just said that neither the sitting President or Vice President was good enough to be the Democrats’ candidate. Or to defeat Trump.
Yes America, the post-mortem continues by Democrats, as does the finger pointing. And I’m not talking “index” finger.
Reeling from losing not only the presidency, but both chamber of Congress last Tuesday, Democrats find themselves in an unenviable position. And sadly for them, they’ve learned nothing. Because to believe it was their candidate proves they remain delusional.
Understand that Pelosi is widely reported to have led the Democrats’ push to oust Biden. And he pretty much ended his campaign shortly thereafter. As for Biden’s inability to beat Trump, you would have to be crazy to think the man could be Trump, which is why I predicted the Democrats would jettison the old fool after the first of the year. Did Pelosi and team really believe Biden could withstand the gruel of a campaign, given all the evidence to the contrary.
The man was falling up stairs, and mumbling incoherently routinely. It took Trump practically calling the ref over to call the fight during the debate for Democrats to pull the trigger. But they blame Biden? He was just another punch-drunk fighter who stayed way too long in the ring.
Now, if they wanted to blame Biden for anything, it’s for picking an Affirmative Action VP.
Harris was way ahead of her skis as a VP. So the idea that she could be shoe-horned into the presidency was ill-conceived. And timing wasn’t the only reason Harris was picked.
Democrats thought Harris could change the “old white guy” narrative with “young Black woman” narrative. But as I warned many times, Americans know inherently that pseudo-Black or Black Leftist women should never be allowed in power. They have no idea how to be discriminant with power, and wield it like a two-year boy learning how to pee in the toilet.
I do blame Biden for not stepping down sooner, but then I remember who he is: a failed politico who was given power. If you were one of the worst politicians in history and the cabal put you in power, would you leave without a fight?
Biden didn’t earn the presidency, but he was told that he had. That fool was stupid enough to believe the hype. And let’s not forget that egomaniacal Doctor Jill. You know she didn’t want to step down as Play President. Regardless, the Democrats took Biden out in the coup. And he passively aggressively did things to make Kamala Harris’ campaign miserable.
Back to the snide comment by Pelosi
Pelosi told the New York Times: “The anticipation was that, if the president were to step aside, that there would be an open primary.”
An open primary would have involved a number of Democratic candidates competing to be elected by party members to succeed Biden as their White House nominee.
Pelosi now believe that Democrats should have had a slugfest. Steel sharpens steel. She suggested to the Times that Harris would have done well in such a primary process and it would have made her “stronger going forward”.
Or as Harris did when she faced other Democrat challengers in the primary, she could have (ok, would have) folded. And who would the Democrats have selected? Pete Buttigieg? Elizabeth Warren? Josh Shapiro? Gavin Newsom.
They could have selected any of those people as well. But they were forced to honor their Affirmative Action appointee or lose the Black vote. Oh the irony that Democrats lost ground with Black voters.
But Pelosi blaming Biden gets better.
“And because the president endorsed Kamala Harris immediately, that really made it almost impossible to have a primary at that time. If it had been much earlier, it would have been different.”
No Nancy, the Democrat candidate would have been different. But the result would have been the same. But some Democrats believe as Pelosi does, that Biden should have dropped sooner.
“We ran the best campaign we could, considering Joe Biden was president,” said one unnamed aide. “Joe Biden is the singular reason Kamala Harris and Democrats lost tonight.”
Speak up, “unnamed aide”. There’s no reason to hide one’s identity at this point. Biden is officially and completely finished politically. And most Democrats would be on the side of this rogue.
At this point, Democrats want anything to blame their losses on except the obvious. Their policies suck. But that will be the Republican advantage going forward.
