GOP Political Naptime While Democrats Burn Down the House

How Many Egregious Acts by Democrats Does It Take to Wake Up the GOP?

If incompetence were an Olympic sport, congressional Republicans would be gold medalists in the Do-Nothing Decathlon. We’re in the strongest political position in decades, yet the GOP’s idea of “action” is watching Democrats rig elections, weaponize the courts, and attempt to imprison their opposition—all while they sip lukewarm coffee and murmur, “Perhaps we should write a sternly worded letter?”

Do Republicans realize they won the last election? Because right now, their “leadership” resembles a group of substitute teachers who lost control of the classroom before the bell even rang.

The Uniparty Special: All Talk, No Consequences

The Left’s crimes are piling up faster than Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptops. Election rigging. Lawfare. Two assassination attempts on a former president. And yet, the GOP’s response has been… crickets.

The perp walk for these Democrats should be longer than the line for a Bruno Mars concert in Manila. Instead, Republicans treat subpoenas like participation trophies—handing them out, then promptly forgetting they exist.

Look at the numbers for nationwide injunctions to get an understanding of how bad the problem is:

Nationwide injunctions ordered against the first Trump administration account for more than half of the total injunctions ordered against the federal government since 1963, data show.”

Nationwide injunctions are court orders that prevent the federal government from implementing a policy or law that has a cascading effect impacting the entire country, not just the parties involved in the court case.

Trump’s first administration faced 64 injunctions out of the total 127 nationwide injunctions issued since 1963. There were 32 injunctions issued against the Bush, Obama and Biden administrations collectively since 2001, meaning the first Trump administration was on the receiving end of double the amount of nationwide injunctions than his two predecessors and successor combined, according to the April 2024 edition of the Harvard Law Review.

The Harvard Law Review found there were six injunctions issued against the Bush administration, 12 against the Obama administration and 14 against the Biden administration.

Let that sink in. Trump faced more judicial sabotage than Bush, Obama, and Biden combined. And what did Republicans do? A few grumbles, a couple of tweets, and then—back to their 12-day work month.

The Congressional Siesta: Less Work Than a Part-Time Barista

Speaking of work—if you think your job has a light schedule, try being a Congressman. In March, they clocked in a whopping 12 days. April? A grueling 10 days. That’s fewer hours than a college student during finals week.

Meanwhile, Leftist judges are rewriting laws from the bench and Republicans do nothing.

Where’s the Fight?

Tax cuts? Could be codified. Election integrity? Could be enforced. The DOGE reports trillions in waste? Could be recovered. Instead, Republicans seem content to let Trump and Elon Musk take all the shrapnel while they hide in a bunker labeled “Maybe Next Term.”

And don’t even get me started on defunding rogue federal courts. The Left treats the judiciary like their personal legislative branch, and Republicans respond like low-energy Jeb.

The Grand Finale: A Party That Forgot How to Win

At this point, the GOP’s strategy seems to be:

  1. Observe Democrat crimes.
  2. Express concern.
  3. Schedule a meaningless hearing.
  4. Cancel the meaningless hearing.
  5. Blame Trump for not fixing it himself.

It’s not just incompetence—it’s artistic incompetence. A performance of weakness so convincing, even the Democrats are starting to feel bad for them.

So here’s the question: When will Republicans realize that power unused is power wasted? Because right now, the only thing they’re leading is the race to irrelevance. The GOP has a choice: Grow a spine or get bulldozed by MAGA.
