President Trump SPRINGS the DACA Trap on Democrats
I said recently that President Trump lured the Democrats into a trap on immigration.
Well, he just sprung it.
The so-called bipartisan DACA deal presented yesterday to myself and a group of Republican Senators and Congressmen was a big step backwards. Wall was not properly funded, Chain & Lottery were made worse and USA would be forced to take large numbers of people from high crime…..

….countries which are doing badly. I want a merit based system of immigration and people who will help take our country to the next level. I want safety and security for our people. I want to stop the massive inflow of drugs. I want to fund our military, not do a Dem defund….

Trump’s reference to a “so-called bipartisan DACA deal” likely referred to the proposal announced on Thursday by a group of six Republican and Democratic senators. While it’s unclear what the proposal contained, Trump, who apparently saw the provisions, thought it made chain migration and the diversity lottery system “worse.”
Democrats find themselves in big trouble. And for many reasons.
First, Donald Trump the candidate made it abundantly clear that he understands the issues of “Dreamers”. He’s all for immigration reform. So, this presents a major problem for the Left to pretend President Trump doesn’t care. Because President Trump keeps the promises of candidate Trump “like nobody’s business.” He will keep his promises on immigration reform, and that means some movement on DACA.
Trump proved this, when he called a bipartisan meeting, where he looked anything but “unhinged”. He allowed the American people to see how he works with both Democrats and Republicans, neither of which are necessarily in his corner. What America witnessed was a level-headed leader, willing to listen to the debate. In that meeting, Dianne Feinstein proposed what the Democrats wanted, and the president alluded to what he wanted.
Which brings me to the President’s campaign promises.
Build that wall, and make Mexico pay for it. If you want to see a magnificent wall, visit here to see what we wrote about it.
Back to the Problems for Democrats
President Trump wants comprehensive immigration reform that will deal with issues the Democrats don’t necessarily like. For example, Trump’s plan ends “chain migration”. As you all may know, chain migration is the process by which citizens and green-card holders can sponsor extended family members for their own green cards. These card holders can then also sponsor their family members and so on and so forth. It never ends. And Trump realizes this is not a smart way to run our immigration system.
….Because of the Democrats not being interested in life and safety, DACA has now taken a big step backwards. The Dems will threaten “shutdown,” but what they are really doing is shutting down our military, at a time we need it most. Get smart, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

Third, the Democrats were exposed as wanting DACA purely for votes. As we documented,
But as a recent leaked memo reveals, Democrats concocted a sinister use for “Dreamers”. As it turns out, Democrats really don’t care about the Dreamers as much as they claim. But they do care about their vote.
“The fight to protect Dreamers is not only a moral imperative, it is also a critical component of the Democratic Party’s future electoral success,” reads Palmieri’s memo, obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation.
“If Democrats don’t try to do everything in their power to defend Dreamers, that will jeopardize Democrats’ electoral chances in 2018 and beyond,” reads the memo. “In short, the next few weeks will tell us a lot about the Democratic Party and its long-term electoral prospects.”
Fourth, look at what Barack Obama himself said of DACA, when he proposed the illegal Executive Order:
Here it is, straight from the mouth of the greatest liar of this century… #Obama #DACA https://t.co/IyY0jnPXuZ

Over the next few months, eligible individuals who do not present a risk to national security or public safety will be able to request temporary relief from deportation proceedings and apply for work authorizations.
Now let’s be clear, this is not amnesty, this is not immunity, this is not a path to citizenship. It’s not a permanent fix.
This is a temporary stopgap measure that let’s us focus our resources wisely, while giving a degree of relief and hope to talented, driven patriotic young people.
Fifth, the math on illegals doesn’t add up. Democrats have proclaimed that illegals are good people who hide in the shadows. Democrats say illegals add to the economy, and are among our best citizens. The facts don’t bear them out.
Don’t believe me?
What of the recent story about Kate Steinle and her family? An illegal immigrant who was deported five times previously with a criminal background shot and killed Steinle and received no punishment!
In regards to how illegals are affecting our economy, take a look at this short video of illegal workers working in America. They admit to not paying taxes and are aware they take away jobs from Americans.

In addition, these illegals also admit to not wanting to stay in America. They simply want to make money and send it back home. Tell me, how is that good for the American economy?
Now the sixth, and biggest problem for the Democrats. They will be seen as obstructionists no matter what. Democrats have threatened to shut down government if they don’t get DACA signed. To this President Trump will likely say, “Do it!” Because the government shutdown will be on the Democrats. Moreover, the “Dreamers” will be angry that they wait in limbo at best.
Perhaps James Woods said it best:
Why in God’s name are we having to negotiate with our own government to obey the law? We have LAWS for legal immigration. Anyone who breaks those laws or enables another person to do so should be deported or imprisoned respectively. Why is this concept so damn difficult to grasp?
And I couldn’t agree more!
