Country Singer Blames Trump and Abandons Country Music

Leftists believe they do no harm. Thus, they blame others for anything that goes wrong.

It must be nice to have an excuse for everything that doesn’t involve personal responsibility or some stupid ideology. The easy thing for Leftists today is to blame conservatives or, even better, blame Trump.

Not long ago, Jussie Smollett claimed that two MAGA supporters beat him up. His reason for creating the lie? He wanted a better deal for himself. Colin Kaepernick blamed America for police brutality. And who are the most brutal to blacks? Democrats.

There is no cop problems for blacks in Peoria, Illinois for example. But anywhere Democrats control cities, you will find accusations of police brutality.

But, give me your problem and I will find a chorus of Democrats who blame either conservatives or Trump. Go ahead and play the thought game to see where it ends up.

For example, if a Democrat is in debt, it’s not his or her fault. It’s not Biden’s fault. Let’s all say it together: “It’s TRUMP’S fault!”

So meet the new Kaepernick.

Singer Maren Morris announced she is leaving Country music. And as I indicated earlier, it’s all Trump’s fault.

According to Morris, her departure is due to the effects the “Trump years” have had on the music genre.

“After the Trump years, people’s biases were on full display,” the “Bones” singer said in an interview with the Los Angeles Times published Friday. “It just revealed who people really were and that they were proud to be misogynistic and racist and homophobic and transphobic.”

Who knew that Trump had such an influence on Country music? On any music? But where will Maren Morris go? To non-racist, non-misogynistic Hip Hop?

No wonder Morris won a Grammy.

Apparently Morris laments that music is being used as a “toxic weapon in culture wars.”

What set her off? None other than Jason Aldean.

His hit song “Try That in a Small Town” twisted her up. How dare this man make music to express his point of view, his reality. The song resonated with conservatives, and that’s unacceptable to Morris.

She said that “People are streaming these songs out of spite. It’s not out of true joy or love of the music. It’s to own the libs. And that’s so not what music is intended for. Music is supposed to be the voice of the oppressed — the actual oppressed. And now it’s being used as this really toxic weapon in culture wars.”

Here’s a little sample of Aldean’s lyrics:

Sucker punch somebody on a sidewalkCarjack an old lady at a red lightPull a gun on the owner of a liquor storeYa think it’s cool, well, act a fool if ya like
Cuss out a cop, spit in his faceStomp on the flag and light it upYeah, ya think you’re tough
Well, try that in a small townSee how far ya make it down the roadAround here, we take care of our ownYou cross that line, it won’t take longFor you to find out, I recommend you don’tTry that in a small town

I love when people tell others what they are supposed to appreciate about art.

Even if people are streaming the song out of spite, what’s it to Morris? Just like a third-grader, she wants to take her ball and go home. Couldn’t she write a song to fire back at Aldean? Certainly, a true talent could.

As for “toxic weapons in culture wars”, one might make the case that Leftists started the musical culture wars. What’s the first song you remember that touted hate or embodied racism? Leave it in the comments.
