Former Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy will fight for something; just not his constituents.
Republicans have been rightly disappointed by McCarthy and the party as a whole. Never in the history of the party have so many opportunities to crush Leftists presented themselves.
The invasion at the Southern border offers a major potential win. Even Democrat Mayor Eric Adams of New York now sounds the alarm bell on the subject.
Education is another area where Republicans could easily capitalize. A system broken by Democrats, and hardly a mention by Republicans.
Crime in cities runs rampant, but Republicans offer no marketing. Democrats have involved America in needless wars, and worse, funded the terror against Israel that will undoubtedly be felt in America. Again, no serious pushback from Republicans.
Biden has been a disaster. Taking the fight to him would end in an easy knockout of that old fart. But Republicans find other things on which to focus.
What does it take to make Republicans fight? We may have gotten our answer.
Recently former Speaker Kevin McCarthy threw a sucker punch–actually a back-stabbing sucker “elbow–at Tennessee Rep. Tim Burchett.
Recall that Burchett was one of the congressmen who voted to oust McCarthy. Apparently McCarthy is getting his parting shots where he can.
According to reports, the incident occurred after a closed-door GOP meeting.
As McCarthy and Burchett were leaving the closed-door meeting, McCarthy reportedly bumped into the back of Burchett, to which the Tennessee Republican responded by saying “Hey Kevin, have some guts” and also called him a “jerk.”
Burchett described the meeting:

Partial Transcript
“I was doing an interview with Claudia (Grisales) from NPR, a lovely lady and when she was asking me a question and at that time I got elbowed in the back. And it kind of caught me off guard because it was a clean shot to the kidneys.
And I turned back and there was Kevin. And I, for me, that guy was kind of what the heck just happened. And then I, you know, I chased after him, of course…Because I’ve stated many times he’s a, he’s a bully with $17 million and a security detail.”
“You know, he’s the type of guy that when you’re a kid would throw a rock over the fence and run home and hide behind his Mama’s skirt. And he just, you know, from behind, that kind of stuff that you know, it’s not the way we handle things in Tennessee, when we have a problem I’m gonna look him in the eye.”
Burchett referenced Claudia Grisales, who indeed validated his account of the incident:
While talking to @RepTimBurchett after the GOP conference meeting, former @SpeakerMcCarthy walked by with his detail and McCarthy shoved Burchett. Burchett lunged towards me. I thought it was a joke, it was not. And a chase ensued…
Have NEVER seen this on Capitol Hill:

The scene was captured on audio, again validating Burchett’s account of events.

Republicans (RINOs) will fight for their own power.
Consider what Trump fights for, for example. They ask yourself why most conservative Americans abhor so-called leaders in the Republican Party. It’s time the party fight for the people, and not their selfish nonsense.
It’s also time conservative Americans wake up to the idea that the Republican Party is little more than a placeholder. It will not let Leftists have free reign, however it won’t do anything to completely stop them. That will be up to us.
